Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray said he is close to being able to present a check for more than $100,000 for tornado relief in Moore, Okla.

Murray, a Las Vegas native who played college football at Oklahoma University, donated $50,000, and Las Vegas promoter Lorenzo Fertitta matched it. Murray also promised game-worn cleats to the Twitter follower who donated the most money. Cowboys receiver Miles Austin also donated, he said.

Murray worked with JourneyChurch, located between Norman and Moore, which Murray said took in people after the tornados in May.

“That’s the church I attended Sundays,” Murray said. “And they did as much as they can. I’m sponsored by Pepsi and Adidas, so they were able to send a bunch of Pepsi and all that stuff, and Adidas sent a bunch of clothes, shoes and whatever they can do. So it was all a good deal.”
