IRVING -- It was a new day for the Dallas Cowboys on Wednesday. They have a new coach, a new practice schedule, a new tempo, a new philosophy.
Their day started 45 minutes earlier than normal with a team meeting at 8:15 a.m., their first with Jason Garrett as the interim head coach. There were no domino games -- or music -- in the locker room. They were in full pads for practice, something they rarely did under Wade Phillips. Their practice was faster and more intense, with players required to run even when they were leaving the field. They weren't allowed to sit on the coolers on the sideline.
It was the same kind of different as Garrett.

"It was the exact same, the exact same... ," Cowboys receiver Roy Williams said. "The same guy, same guy. That's what I like about it, though. He didn't change. He's not changing himself just because he has control of the football team. He's sticking with what he knows."

I read that three times and still don't get. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
