I want to be able to capture video from my analog camcorder but I want an external device to hook up to my computer. I want to burn them to DVD and also edit movies. I have a program on the computer to do this but no way to get the video into my computer. Any Ideas and help would be greatly appreciated.

A VHS player won't accomplish that? That's how I've got mine set up.

Oh, you do have a video capture card in your puter, right?

I assume so. I have a pogram that will alow me to do this so I assume I have one. I am a novice at all of this. I just thought there might be some kind of device I could plug into a usb or something and then plug the camcorder into that. But I'm not sure I can do that.
