Got it! Dayam!!!! This guy makes Bo Jackson look like he's in the Little leagues!

Chuck Bednarik played for the University of Pennsylvania from 1945 to 1949. He was a two time All-American playing center and linebacker. Bednarik was the very first pick in the NFL in 1949, selected by the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for 14 years with the Eagles as center and linebacker, and was All-Pro eight times and played in the Pro Bowl eight times. In the 1954 Pro Bowl, he was selected as the MVP. He was a member of two World Championship teams, 1949 and 1960.
    ________________________________________________________________
In the 1960 championship game, Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers, he played 58 ½ minutes and made the game saving tackle on the last play (this is the NFL Championship Game ...now called the Super Bowl).
    ________________________________________________________________
Chuck retired in 1962 at the age of 37. He was elected to the Pro Hall of Fame in 1967 and the College Hall of Fame in 1969. His other honors include All Time 50 Year Team, The 75 Year Two Way Team, and in 1999, the John Madden All Millennium Team. As Chuck says, "There is nothing else to be had…only Heaven."

    Thanks Hos!;)

I only played football for 2 years, but I played lacrosse in high school and college, so I have had laid the wood down and been destroyed in my past. I remember though that the smallest hit has cost the most amount of pain over the last few years. I remember during our season opener my senior year of college, I had laid a small hit on guy and my back started hurting, the nest morning horribly bad. So about a week later I finally went to the doctor and had an MRI. Turns out I had ruptured a disc during that game, I did sit out for a game or 2 but then came back and finished the season.

After the season it wasnt getting any better so back home I went to my doctor at home and he looked at the MRI and said I had ruptured 2 discs and had a stress fracture in my spine. None the less I took some time off from full contact sports for a little over a year. I start playing lacrosse again in about 2 weeks.

    Just thought I would share.

Yeager this is the hardest hit I have ever seen. One on one, and nobody backed down. From what I remember though, both players were almost knocked unconscious. Earl fell forward for the TD, and won the battle, but man was that a collision.

If anyone has a video of this please post it.

Awesome superpunk, at the end of the second link is the hit. Slo mo does it no justice though. You can see the sheer force of the hit at impact. both players were almost out. The best angle is the one where your following the play behind Earl...Thanks!

that reminds me of Jeremy Shockey turning to Julian Peterson in that infamous wildcard game some years back between the Gents and 9ers, to run him over despite having a clear lane to the endzone, instead of going for the TD, he didn't run over Peterson, and didn't get the TD

I remember watching Earl say that he was surprised to see the LB standing straight up...Man, Earl was a monster, still remember when he ran all over us...streaking down the sideline.
