Why do we have to bring Romo's football play into this? Why can't we just say "Romo is a very good golfer, period?"

The fact that Romo has played poorly in some football games does not in any way diminish his performance as a golfer. The fact that he has played well in golf does not in any way enhance his performance as a football player.

Can't we just keep the two things separate?

Its good to be Tony Romo, hopefully he gets his ring before he moves to the greens fulltime.

I hope he wins. It'd be nice to get some good news around here for once. Jordan Spieth being a fellow Dallasite and Longhorn is icing on the cake.

i better setup the dvr now for first take on monday b/c either way this goes, they will discuss it. either "romo wll use this victory to propel him into next season" or "this is just another example of romo failing down the stretch."

I wonder out of 100 entries (or however many it was) what place Speith/Romo would have to come in to be considered a great job done. Top 10%? 5%?

Some answers would be telling....especially when it's a pro Am event where the amatuers are all worse than any of the pros.

    Pretty cool anyway.

Good for him. It was a tough way to end the NFL season like he did and he's been getting abused by fans and columnists. Its good to see atleast for a minute people are talking about something other than him "choking". But even then that won't last long.

Not disrespect to Romo's partner, but this is especially impressive that they're in first place. It's not like Romo's with Tiger or Phil out there.

If I were competitor to Romo in tournament...standing near Romo I would cough the word *playoffs* and see what happens.

Is it Aaron Rodgers and Jim Harbaugh's top priority? They are good golfers and out there again this year as well.

Could Tony winning the tournament give him the psychological edge to win under pressure on the football field? Couldn't hurt, so im pulling for him.
