Cowboys top Rams as Murray gains franchise-record 253

    By Jon Saraceno, USA TODAY

Texas – The Dallas Cowboys could not have asked for a more ideal setup Sunday when a battered, winless team came limping into town.

Hello, St. Louis Rams. Now say good-bye to DeMarco Murray.

Dallas unleashed the rookie third-string running back, who galloped past Hall of Fame running backs Emmitt Smith and Tony Dorsett into the franchise record book with 253 yards rushing as the Cowboys ran roughshod with a 34-7 victory vs. the 0-6 Rams at Cowboys Stadium.

I love this kid... GREAT attitude and excellent talent. I told people when he was drafted I expected him to be a big contributor.
