Doug Free's sphincter just loosened a bit
Just curious, is it known which substance he was using? Steroids?
Works for me
Too funny. All the reporters here in Denver believed it was going to be 2 games at the most. They all thought that the Broncos seemed really confident from the way they were talking, the fact that Miller was getting all first team reps, etc. Whoops. LOL.
Pretty sure It was for weed
Any chance Peyton Manning violated the league's substance policy?
Well all they have to do is send a memo to the NFL saying they need him for the Cowboys game and its 4 games.
This is devastating for Denver, especially after the Dumervil debacle. Talk about de-fanging a defense.
Tony should light them up now.
This is why Garret focuses so much on the RKG thing.
They also lost their center for the year didn't they? And Bailey has a sprained foot I believe.
Sheesh. How much weed did he smoke? 6 games for a recreational drug is pretty excessive.
The substance policy is the substance policy, so he deserves what he gets, but at some point you have to wonder how the equivalence works out when recreational drugs (if that's what it was, and as opposed to performing enhancing drugs that actually affect games) get this sort of response.
Add it to the ludicrous instance a few years back where Wade Wilson got smacked for a PED that was only taken to enhance the coach's personal performance off of a football field. I'd say this policy could use some attention at some point.
Or trade him to the Giants and it will be Zero games and he won't count against their salary cap.
Yeah, especially since it's legal here in Colorado now. LOL. Six games for weed. So dumb.
If you think about it, all these baseball players who agreed to 50 game suspensions got off lighter than Miller. 50 games is less than 1/3 of a season, 6 games is 37.5% of a football season. Asinine.
Very dumb, while they condone drinking.
he was arrested this weekend as well.
so a 4 game suspension for a second failed test, and 4 more games for violating code of conduct policy. 6 games sounds like he is getting off light to me.
RKGs or not, I would be absolutely shocked if there was not one player on the Cowboys who didnt smoke weed every now and again. Just because they havent been caught doesnt mean it doesnt happen.
he also tested positive for amphetamines
Well, he missed a court appearance or something. Not exactly Aaron Hernandez/Oscar Pistorius stuff, you know? He should definitely be convicted of stupidity and selfishness, to have it come down to a suspension for recreational drugs, it would actually have to have been his third violation. One gets you a slap on the wrist, two gets you into the NFL's drug program and a third gets you suspended from games. A fourth means an entire season. And then to miss a court appearance while you're appealing a suspension is not exactly the brightest decision in the world. Yes, Von wears those nerd glasses, but he sure doesn't have the intellect of a nerd.
