This is cool. I've hear Tom Grieve and Buzz (from the Rangers broadcast) talk about some good hitters being able to pick up that red dot on sliders.
I can't ever imagine swinging at a 100 mph fastball or any MLB pitch. What is it, like 0.5 second reaction time from the time the pitcher throws the ball? Crazy
Now imagine these same pitches coming from a lefty. Then imagine the different types of deliveries, i.e. 3/4 arm angle, over the top, submarine, etc. Most MLB players can identify the pitch in a split-second after release and I could not, hence why I am sitting here typing I still blame my bad eyesight, heh.
