Why rumors of Patriots trading up in first round might be significant http://bit.ly/mtsZA0

wonder what we could get if trade down to 17, dont want to trade down to far though, think pats are after Andy Dalton ?

pats are said to have talked to us and browns, titans are said to really like dalton qb

I'd say they'd love to have Green or Jones.

Who knows who the Pats would be targeting, but I would guess it is either a DE or rush linebacker.

McShay was just speculating on that trade and sounds pretty sure the Patriots want Cameron Jordan.

Goose was clear this moprning that trading down to the Pats is missing the real studs in this draft. Norm echoed that as well.

Not that players taken in the 17 range will not be servicable. But the real studs, and offensive linemen if that's the pick, will not be around by 17, so says Goose.

As long as Goose is right about the qbs going high, then Castonzo would still be there. He had him at 22. JJ Watt was at 26.

Thats what I'm thinking. If they want to go as high as #5, they are looking at a WR or just maybe looking at Fairley. I think WR is most likely. AJ Green is my bet.

They took Mayo a lot higher than people thought he was worth and he's all pro now. Maybe they see some Richard Seymor in Jordan.

Well I'm watching sportscenter and McShay just said they Patriots have contacted the browns or maybe the cardinals about trading up and they want Peterson...that would suck, they have more ammo than we do. It seems like they would want guy like Green or Jones, that would give Brady a crazy weapon and would make them even better. CB doesn't seem like a huge need for them.

I have heard that the Patriots are high on Julio Jones, JJ Watt, and Cameron Jordan.

Knowing the pats, they'll keep that very much in house. Could be Julio Jones/AJ Green or Aldon Smith/Robert Quinn or even Cameron Jordan/JJWatt. May even be Andy Dalton ;)

Mayo is a LB not a 3-4 DE. I also wouldn't exactly put Jordan in Richard Seymor's class.

I suspect Jordan will still be on the board after the 12th pick. Why go so high? Trading up in the first round can be expensive, but trading from 17 to 5, would be brutally expensive. To do that and then only take a DE especially one that will be there outside the top 10? Doesn't sound logical.

    1. Jones.
    2. Quinn

    In that order.

There's a reason they are going to the Browns first. Check the above list and you'll know why.
