Not sure about that, the Cowboys receivers were among the league leaders in dropped passes in 2019.
cooper 1000+ yards. gallup 1000+ yards. cobb over 800 yards. and that's with the drops. I thought lal was the first wr coach in over a decade that actually helped developed wr's. as opposed to the ogletrees, holmes, an a plethora of other failed wr's.

I don't know that you can put that on the WR coach. His job is to get them open and where they're supposed to be when they're supposed to be there. It's up to the players to catch the ball.

I think that 'catching' is part of coaching. And when guys are struggling in that area, it should be an emphasis of their practices. Certainly over carrying bricks. Running a route doesn't mean anything if your player drops the pass when it does come. That's basic, fundamental stuff for a receiver.

That's my opinion on it.

For real. I'm sure a few "not ideal" balls thrown their way contributed too.

Gallup, #2 in the entire league in drops.

Cobb tied for #6.

Two receivers in the top 6 in the entire league in drops.

Not stats anyone should be proud of, least of all the wide receiver coach.

Sorry but that's on the players' own concentration. Cooper had a known issue coming here. Players need to work on their craft.

so you discount the total yards as insignificant. hofer Terrell owens often among the top wr's dropping passes. even dez in his prime. I still prefer precise route running and being open.

Not at all, I factor in both.

Are you capable of doing the same?

Well I guess there's nothing left to do now but throw hands.

yes. in my previous post I mentioned the 1000+ yards occurred even with the drops. without even accounting for the fact that some drops were because of not perfectly thrown passes and hard shots by defenders. my scales of fairness have been certified by the bureau of weights and measures. you seem fixated only on drops.

Ask Jean Jacque Taylor. Supposedly Lal didn’t know any of the actual scheme and his “proficiency” as a route running teacher was overhyped.

When you have Cooper, Gallup and Cobb how much work are you having to do?

Not at all. I merely pointed them out as an indicator of a less than stellar job done by the wide receivers coach.

Cooper and Cobb have both had 1000+ seasons in the past, that's not a new height for either.

And Cobb led the league in fewest dropped passes in 2017, only to be among the league leaders in his lone year in Dallas. That further supports my argument.
