He will get more than that. 25 year old DE coming off a 10+ sack season. He will a tag level AAVFrom Spotrac, Flowlers market value is in 14 - 16 range.
Clowney is way overratedFowler is going to make closer to 20 and Floyd is a terrible passrusher.
Of this group, I like Griffen, but I'd be pursuing Clowney.
Clowney is way overrated
Absolutely. Regardless of what the specific various looks might be - Clowney and Jaylon (a bit more than the others) - give you a ton of flexibility. I think that's what McCarthy's sort of vision is, it's just a massive step away from what they were doing before.I'd also be pursuing Clowney, especially if they want to be as multiple as they say. Visions of an odd man sub package with Tank and Gregory (or another speed rusher) on the outside with McCoy aligned over the guard's outside shoulder in the B-gap and Clowney and Jaylon standing up double A-gap has me giddy.
Elite passrusher.Clowney is way overrated
I think only reason bennett came here was because his former coach was here. now that he's gone, he's leaving... there were several times last year he was very open about how dysfunctional this team was.
Chaisson/Weaver and Gregory.
Elite passrusher.
I have a feeling Weaver is one of those guys that draftniks are sleeping on. We might have to draft him in the first round. This is the correct answer. Chaisson at 17 or Weaver in a trade down to the 20's. Gregory and Dorance Armstrong play 2/3 snaps at RDE, and the rookie eases his way in. Use the money saved on a solid CB.

I am a big Florida State fan and he whipped their offensive lines butt. I did not see Boise State the rest of the season but he looked like a first round pick to me. A trade down to get an extra 3rd would work for me.No doubt, like I said, in the 20's I think. PFF metrics guys have him ranked above Chaisson FWIW.
I agree. If you brought Clowney in here, he might have a good season but it would be because he isn't playing against double teams. He might post big numbers but then, the next season he would be demanding a new contract and more money and he's not coming cheap to begin with.
You don't believe Dallas could structure similar to Cooper? His alleged cap hit would be 10-15mil in the first 3 years.
That, to me, is far beyond worth one of the theoretical nastiest DLines in the league.
