Clowney is way overrated

I agree. If you brought Clowney in here, he might have a good season but it would be because he isn't playing against double teams. He might post big numbers but then, the next season he would be demanding a new contract and more money and he's not coming cheap to begin with.

I'd also be pursuing Clowney, especially if they want to be as multiple as they say. Visions of an odd man sub package with Tank and Gregory (or another speed rusher) on the outside with McCoy aligned over the guard's outside shoulder in the B-gap and Clowney and Jaylon standing up double A-gap has me giddy.
Absolutely. Regardless of what the specific various looks might be - Clowney and Jaylon (a bit more than the others) - give you a ton of flexibility. I think that's what McCarthy's sort of vision is, it's just a massive step away from what they were doing before.

I like Griffen the best out of that list when talking about a honest offer.
8 sacks in 15 games last year.

NO way Clowney is an option has knee issues and will be very expensive.. cant have too mental giants with physical issues as bookends both making more then 20..those suggesting that are living in a Fantasy football Madden zone not capped NFl reality Zone..

I think only reason bennett came here was because his former coach was here. now that he's gone, he's leaving... there were several times last year he was very open about how dysfunctional this team was.

Bennett went to Dallas because the Patriots traded him to Dallas.

This is the correct answer. Chaisson at 17 or Weaver in a trade down to the 20's. Gregory and Dorance Armstrong play 2/3 snaps at RDE, and the rookie eases his way in. Use the money saved on a solid CB.
I have a feeling Weaver is one of those guys that draftniks are sleeping on. We might have to draft him in the first round.

Inside pressure beats outside pressure. Having signed mccoy im not worried about DE but we could always add more talent.

No doubt, like I said, in the 20's I think. PFF metrics guys have him ranked above Chaisson FWIW.
I am a big Florida State fan and he whipped their offensive lines butt. I did not see Boise State the rest of the season but he looked like a first round pick to me. A trade down to get an extra 3rd would work for me.

You don't believe Dallas could structure similar to Cooper? His alleged cap hit would be 10-15mil in the first 3 years.

That, to me, is far beyond worth one of the theoretical nastiest DLines in the league.

Why would you? Where is all this production that makes him so nasty? Where is all the cap coming from on this? That's the first thing we would need to understand. Why is this guy still unsigned? Maybe teams don't believe he is worth what he is asking for, IDK. Also, are you willing to do this without any kind of team physical? Right now, because of the Coronavirus, you can't check him out.

I live in Boise and watch him. He's a very good football player and pass rusher. MWC's all time sack leader (34) over Jerry Hughes (28.5), D Law (20) and Shaq Barrett (18). Athletic metrics are pretty good (6'2" (short for DE), 265lbs, 32.5" arms (short for DE); 32" vert, 116" long, 4.27 short shuttle, 7.00 3-cone). Vs. Joey Bosa (6'4" 266, 33"arms, 33.5, 116, 4.14, 7.10). Vs. Maxx Crosby (6'4" 255, 34.75" arms, 36.0 122 4.13 6.89). Vs. Rashan Gary (6'4", 277, 34"arms, 38.0 120 4.29 7.26). Vs. Montez Sweat (6'5", 260, 35.75arms, 36.0 125 4.29 7.00). I would not be upset if we took him in a trade down.
