News: Michael Bennett wants to play another season

Defensive end Michael Bennett said earlier this month that he wasn’t sure if he wanted to play another NFL season, but it appears he’s come to a decision.

Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News reports that Bennett would like to play. If he does, it will mark 12 years in the league for a player who entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2009.

I mean its not like hes a career scrub. He was at one point a top DE. Maybe a completely new coaching staff and culture will bring a better version of himself out. I'm all for it. Better then fully relying on what we have a DE outside of D law.

A team can handle personalities like that a lot better with a strong head coach. We have not had one since the Tuna. Jimmy had no problems dealing with guys like that.

I think MM can handle him.

I'm a Crawford fan, but Bennett would definitely be an upgrade at RDE. Sign him for one year, and see what Gregory has.
