How good is our 3rd QB -Clayton Thorson?

if Dak is injured or holds-out , what is the situation with our QB depth ? Cooper rush is next in line depth chart wise but has anyone seen Clayton play ? How good is he?
I cannot help but think the cowboys will draft another QB somewhere in the upcoming draft. Thoughts

If im the GM im covering that donkeys butt by drafting JHurts around the 4th round and letting him learn by being the swiss army knife like THILL.. get some time this season...if he has any talent and upside Dak gets traded next off season..

Yeah. He passes the eye test, but a QB is only as good as the connection he has with his top three wideouts. So the question is can he have a natural connection with the receivers on this team.

Clayton is going to take Daks spot in camp.....after Dak signs a 250 mil dollar 5 year contract.

Clayton is a guy Big Mike could really help and develop. I like his footwork and mobility, plus he has a good arm. I see more upside than Rush but you never know with QBs.

I think DAL adds a QB in the draft and have 3 guys battle it out to see who stays or forces the team to carry 3.

I like that plan.

We should make a point of leveraging Big Mike's ability to develop QBs. Run McCarthy's QB camp. Have Kellen take the camp as a player, to get him on the same page with McCarthy.
