Jerry said this, and it does seem like a subtle dig to end the Dez rumors, but Lamb already said he's wearing 10.

This generation of WRs seem to prefer the 10-19 range in the NFL (single digits in college).

I've had multiple grown, legally adult college WR's cry when we assigned them 80 series numbers. Like try to go over my head and go to the head coach to get their number changed, try to tell the equipment manager it's a mistake, and even bully other kids for their numbers.

Same deal if we give a safety or CB a 40 series number. I've told safeties "Do you not know who Ronnie Lott is?" and they said "No". :(

“Hey CeeDee, in honor of all those that have perished during this pandemic, could you please wear #19?”

Seems like Jerry wants him to

not official

Leave to ol Jerry to weird up a good moment. He wants a player to wear a number of a dead teammate he played with 40 something years ago cause they share the same last name? Lamb is not even that unique of a name.

Eh, I don't know about that. It's kind of a shame 88 isn't retired, honestly.

Naw you can’t retire 88. But you can and should reserve it for your best receiver. That’s a lot of pressure to put on the kid.

And what if Dez comes back? I still think there’s a place for him on this offense. Tell me this doesn’t sound amazing:

1. Amari Cooper
2. CeeDee Lamb
3. Michael Gallup
4. Dez Bryant
5. Cedrick Wilson
