Yes you do not need to repeat the fact that you are going to mitigate any good that may come of what they are doing.

The all-or-nothing reasoning is exactly the type of thing I was talking about.
"All or nothing"? Explain.

"All or nothing"? Explain.

If It has the logo then any good that may come of it is invalidated.

the only way that you would consider accepting it is if you couldn't see the logo. you just admitted that.

So it's either all the way that you want it or it's nothing in your eyes.

As I said, if the logo was small and off to the side, I'd be less inclined to think they were just promoting their brand. How is that "all or nothing"?

Small and off to the side is obviously meaning it's set such that you can't see it.

It's an absolutely absurd position. if any first responder wants one and gets it for free he or she is being helped regardless of what you think or want.

Not that you can't see it, though I'd prefer it wasn't there at all, because I do despise the nickname, but who wants the words HOT BOYZ sprawled across their mouth? Go ahead and wear that for a couple of days.

Essential workers, maybe, but these masks look like they're only useful to keep the person wearing them from spreading the virus. It doesn't look like they'd protect the wearer.

I'm pretty sure his intent is not to replace certified protective masks. Either way, it still doesn't change the context of trying to help any way he can.

I am strongly in favor of the HotBoyz covering their mouths. I just wish it was with something soundproof.

I have no idea I just find it interesting that you think you can speak for the great many first responders out there.

that goes doubly considering your profession and how you see people across the country. You can't fathom how somebody that's half your age and in that type of position might want to wear something like that?

It's something I think they'd probably prefer to use to cover their fuzzy lumpkins.

After signing that big contract and getting only 5 sacks, I'd wear a mask too for robbery.

I get what you're saying, but an altruistic act doesn't require the logo to be legible from 100 yards. Maybe I'm just so against that stupid nickname that anything associated with it seems diminished to me, but this really doesn't seem like they're agenda free.

Nailed it ...........you're good poster but it's obvious you personal feeling are driving the agenda on this.

Good Lord..

Is it always required to begin a snarky thread to show off a smart*** comment?

You have to just see things as they are, help at a time of need.

If it said "Free Tequila" you guys would saying..

Brilliant

I'll take that

What about me?

Come on guys. You really are better than what you are posting.

Only partly, I think. Even if it was the Cowboys logo stretched across the face like that, I'd feel like there was something more than altruism going on.....though I might want one of those. lol

People seem to be under the impression that I'd prefer the masks not be given away. That's not true. If people are willing to wear them, that's their business. I just wish they didn't seem more about the "brand" than the good will.

They didn't even come up with the name and the brand name has always been awful and 99% of the people reading it won't even understand what it means.

DLaw has said Hotboyz is a nonprofit charitable organization, meaning, of course, he makes no profit. We are now seeing masks with ALL SORTS of logos ( US flag, colleges, NFL, NBA, etc. ) but none changes the intent of protection from contracting the virus. Let's put it another way, you're getting ready to enter a facility the requires you to wear a mask. You just realize you left mask at home but an employee offers you a mask with HotBoyz logo........what are you going to do?
