To have a season is my goal. The good thing is that we have a lot of new head coaches in our division so they have the same hurdles as we do with implementing new schemes ect. Smart of McCarthy to keep Moore on board so we can keep the same terminology even though we will run a different scheme

I think many people here have confused "minimum goal" with Maximum goal." Unless you are the Belichick-led Patriots and have acquired a dozen Pro Bowlers in free agency and the draft, you can't seriously claim that your "minimum goal" is to win a Super Bowl. That's your maximum goal, not your minimum - especially for a Dallas team that hasn't made the conference title game in a quarter-century.

A "minimum goal" could reasonably be advancing beyond the divisional playoffs. But to say my "MINIMUM goal is that we hoist the Lombardi" is absurd. If that's your minimum, then what's your max goal? Win three Super Bowls in one season??

After losing in the div round 4 times since the last super bowl, I would think minimum goal, is to get past that round.
evidently some feel just making the playoffs is good lol.

this team added enough players, in key areas, and with some real coaches now, I dont see how they can not make playoffs.
I think people will be shocked at the difference the new coaches will make when they see the team play.
That is one reason I think they could even do good with dalton at qb.
So with dak he needs to maybe get to a sb to prove he is as good as he thinks he is.

For me it is getting past the div round and to the champ game, and at least looking good losing that.
That would be progress.
no playoffs, playoffs, and a exit before or in div round is not good enough.

The offense is loaded, new coaches, better looking defense, new ST coach, and last but not least
the great dak prescott !

Finishing with a record of 12-4 would be preferable, to help with home field in playoffs.

Even if dalton starts game 1, I still expect the same things.

Play with some kind of pride. So I would hope. It was disgraceful the effort they lacked last season especially with the season on the line.

My expectations have lowered a lot as up and down as this team has been the past couple of decades. With a new head coach and a virtual offseason I’m just hoping we make the playoffs. That would at least be a good start to the McCarthy era. It took 4 seasons to make the playoffs under Garrett. We’re in June and the players haven’t even been on the field in pads. This situation is certainly going to set the rookies back some. With all the changes along with a virtual offseason, making the playoffs would be a good first step and something to build on.
