I'm 6'4", my playing weight in HS was 270. Tore up my knee and dropped to 220. Graduated college when I was 21 and weighed 226. Got engaged two years later at 240. Weighed 280 after a couple of years of marriage. Became a head coach and between the 6 hours a day of athletic class, practice and coaches meetings, 6-8 hours a day of watching film, 4 hours of drinking and the rest at home and sleeping i grew to a svelte 340.
I decided to lose some weight when my daughter was 12, wanted to walk her down the aisle one day. I started dieting, speed weights and walking. Can't run with a reconstructed knee and ankle. Lost 110 lbs. Kept up the workouts for about 4 years. Hurt my back in the weight room. Gained 40 pounds. I'm at 270 right now and pretty healthy at 53. Yesterday I started biking. Gonna try that and see how my back reacts.
Oh!!! I also switched from beer to scotch!!!
What do you guys do to keep the weight off???
