Apparently not everyone in the Cowboys organization has given up hope of getting Randy Gregory back on the field this season. Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram tweeted that Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones reached out to him after Hill's initial report on the defensive end. "When I wrote earlier that the Cowboys [more]

TC supposed to start in a few weeks. Hope they get this sorted out by then. If he is reinstated it sire would be nice to have him go through an entire TC. Not this week before the season starts crap. Which would be just like Mara, I mean Goodell to do.

I'm confused...

I realize this is an updated report. Still. If both Stephen and Jerry were not an original source then who had the authority to declare the Cowboys had "given up hope"?

Still "clinging to hope" this dude wants to play football? Nah. Guess hope is cheaper than signing actual players.

Is this a symbolic hope in a show of support for Randy Gregory? That’s how it reads to me.

Goodell works so hard to make people hate the NFL. And screw the Cowboys.

So the NFL flips their pot policy in the latest CBA, but as it goes out the door, it screws a guy with clear mental health issues related to pot?

What a vindictive ******.

It was the janitor. I mean Clarence Hill is the original report. It really could have been the janitor.

1000%.......yes, notice how quick Stephen responded. This to make sure Randy understands Cowboys still has his back......sensitive/fluid situation for sure.

It's extremely difficult for me to see where Randy Gregory will be likely to return to pro football if he hasn't by now. Judging from the past, it seems quite likely that he's unwilling to abandon his pot-smoking habits. Having said as much, I'd still be glad to see I'm mistaken. o_O

exactly,talk about messed up priority's.
how long has it been since he was drafted? at least 5 years I think.
My question is how long or what does it take for them to give up on him being a great player??
He had a chance initially, but he blew it bigtime, and I just dont think he can step in and play like jones boys and many here think he can do.
His talent days are gone.
The other thing is do you think he would be playing stoned?? lol
I think stephen thinks his bargain player can still contribute , but I dont think so. Time to let him go.

LOL. He's only played 28 games in 5 years since being drafted in '15. Nothing like being a millionaire while hypothetically only playing an average five and half games per season. Why even show interest in this guy anymore. HELLO?!
