So now it's a lying Zeke because he made a generalized positive statement about the players loving McCarthy? It's just what he believes, it's his impression!

I guess Zeke should have conducted a third party objective poll and also made sure he had notarized statements from all 80 players before making such an imprecise statement to the media.

I think after playing for the same guy for several years and not achieving much playoff success, players would be looking forward to a change, especially to a coach who has won a Super Bowl.

you're not wrong however they also need to understand their role in such past failures IMO. Garrett was a nimrod as was Marinelli (the game had past him by) But when opportunities were there to make a play the players failed as well as the coaches. Don't take that as a Garrett defense I think he was a failure and was kept far too long.

Would have liked a better answer on why he had fewer 20-plus-yard runs. If he had even just said that those type runs are dependent upon a lot of factors, it would have been better than "I don't know." That just shows that he hasn't gone back and examined it.

I think players being happy with the HC is fairly common, if you want to show the coach some love do it by winning and getting that championship because that is how he remains the HC.

There is not much difference in talent level between a lot of NFL teams. Good coaching can overcome the mistakes that players inevitably make. Mediocre coaching means you don't have that edge or even the ability to break even in that area against the Green Bays in the playoffs.

Other teams fumble, throw interceptions, etc., in the playoffs and win because good coaching helps them overcome those mistakes IMO.

how about dont dictate answer, he could have been being PC not living in the past like some of you, he could have blamed the OL, , TE, and FB for lack of consistent blocking and the coaching staff including KM who is still here for letting the defense know on first down we coming straight ahead 80% of the time..

this was not zekes fault, i watched ton of the film breakdowns available and it was a lot more reasons then EE.. he led the league in 10lus yard runs, yards after contact in a lot of situations etc etc he was far off in RB scoring an d4th overall in yards not 30yards from CM..he doesnt have to explain anything to us..

better to look ahead not back..

did Dak come on for an hour and explain all his faults play by play in most of the last 5 of 6 games? go back and check out that 2nd half of the Philly game and break himself down, nah not in detail..lots of blame to go around for 8-8 time to move forward, new staff new players new hope..

Studying film and understanding what happened is what any player needs to do to improve. I happen to think that Elliott is a very good player, one of the best at his position, but I don't think that not knowing why you weren't as good at something is going to make you better at it.

Of course, he has coaches to help him with that.
