No problem.

It was funny. This time last week people were saying the same thing. Then, all last week it was as if he heard all the talk and had a great week. Everyday the reporters kept mentioning him. Of course, Lewis and Chido were both out....that gave him an opportunity.
Oh wow I actually didn't even know Lewis and Chido were out so there's that lol.

This is my first time reading something favorable about Diggs. Most reports have been he's struggled and he's looked like a rookie.

After initially saying that Diggs had a quiet start to camp, the same media has talked several times about him having great days in his second week.

The first week of camp practices the media pretty much said that Diggs hadn’t done anything to stand out, neither good nor bad. That makes sense because it was essentially his rookie mini-camp.

This past week though was him doing something really good in camp, just about every day. They’d report another great play by Diggs every day.

Having said that... I agree that he probably won’t start in the first game of the season. It might take a little while before coaches are ok starting a rookie (other than Lamb) after an abbreviated offseason like they just went through.

If they start working him in as early as the first game, that will mean they’ve really hit on something with Diggs. That would be a very good sign for his future.

EDIT: I see that I was late telling you this, haha.

Yeah but it confirms basically what's gone on. I must've missed the reports about him playing well. Its great to hear. Still seems like a long shot to start but who knows by seasons end if he keeps playing well.

I agree about him starting week 1. I don’t expect it.

However, with Lewis and Awuzie missing time here right before the first game, it probably ups his chances of starting. Plus, with it being a new system for all the players, Diggs might not be as far behind as people think.

At the least, he’s probably going to get a decent amount of snaps. Like I mentioned above, even Diggs just getting in and playing seriously bodes well for his future.

Well I'll say this....I said he won't be starting week 1 but if there's a scenario where Lewis is hurt.......I could see Chido going to the slot and Brown and Diggs starting on the outside. One thing they have talked about this offseason is position flexibility. They have guys playing all over the secondary.

Got you. I think the people who I heard on The Fan were probably talking about his camp as a whole when they were asked about how he's looked.
The past week or two he has played really well. I think he still start with Awuzie and Brown week 1. Just my opinion though

This team needs Diggs to come through....and not in 2022.

This team may need Al Harris more.

Loved the hire from minute one.

Losing byron jones was a concern. I might have overreacted. D-backs looking better than i expected. My only concern now is defensive tackle. Hill and gallimore need to step up.

Where are you starting them? You got Diggs and Awuzie on the outside?Seems like Lewis and Awuzie should be our best slot corners. But I think Awuzie is also our best cover corner too.

I think the secodnarywill be fine even if Diggs isn't ready. If Brown, Lewis and Awuzie are having good camps then I wouldn't' be opposed to working Diggs in slowly. Then by next year he will be ready to start.

Jourdan Lewis sprained an ankle so diggs got more reps. He's made the most of his opportunities. That's what the good ones do. Day one starter.

Possibly yeah...but are those guys able to play press effectively or do they need to shelve those plans until the new guys are ready?

Interesting question.

I may be off based but I thought that's what these guys wanted to play last year but they couldn't? At least that's what I thought Chido said or one of the secondary guys. I think one thing they want are longer guys playing corner for them. Which I think the only one that hurts is Lewis. But Lewis has so much heart......I think that's going to trump all things.

I think there is little doubt Diggs is starting. Lewis has had little time to get up to speed and Diggs is flashing. They will show-case Diggs for first few weeks and if he struggles badly then Lewis is in wings. Dallas badly wants to hit on 1st (CC) and 2nd round picks.

The hype on Diggs is pretty crazy right now.

I'm listening to podcasts and they are saying he is doing elite CB things as a young guy and he is handling our top guys at times.

Having a brother in the league and playing at Alabama for Saban definitely gives him an edge to be good early.

It ought to yeah.

It's a catch 22 with a lot of those secondary dudes this year.

If they dont perform...cant really be spending money to retain them, but if they DO, can we afford them?

My guess is one of them steps up this year, and we find the money to keep them around.

Either way secondary will top the draft need list next year.
