I'm not carrying 4 TEs and 10 DBs seems high

Remove a TE, add a RB. Without a FB, they need a 3rd RB.

May get away with 2 QB's, keep an 11th DL or DB.
I think they can actually keep DeNucci and Thorson on the PS this year. Most teams will stick to who they have. Unless a team is out of the race and needs a QB to try for the future.

Ranges
QB: 2-3
RB: 2-4
WR: 5-7
TE: 3-5
OL: 8-10
DL: 8-11
LB: 5-7
DB: 8-11
ST: 3

I actually think 11 DB's given the talent at training camp. Certainly 10 is standard. 4 TE's is also the norm because TE's contribute a fair bit on special teams, especially when there is no fullback, but I'm not sure a TE has earned that 4th spot. If a guy like Keith Smith or Rod Smith came available I would carry them instead of the 4th TE.

DBs
1) awuzie
2) diggs
3) brown
4) worley
5) lewis
6) Clinton Dix
7) Woods
8) Thompson
9) Wilson
10) Robinson

If Ten DBs seems high, then who among the 10 DBs will not make the team ?

i agree with 4 TEs being excessive, and even we did do 4 TES, who would be the 4th TE that has impressed enough
to gain a roster spot ?

Keith Smith definitely ..but not Rod Smith.
Rod is not near the physical lead blocker that Keith Smith is at FB ....and you certainly don't want him as a RB .... Yikes !!
He's the reason we had to go get Pollard.

McCarthy won't risk DiNucci.

most teams carry 3 RBs,we might make an exception this year and just carry 2 because of the expanded practice squad and new rules.

I’m not really looking for a guy to play on offense. I’m looking for a guy that plays all special teams units.

It's not that far off IMO. I agree on the 4 TEs. Switch one of them out for a RB. But other than that it doesn't look bad. Probably go with best players available.

I think we might go shopping for a TE, FB, or RB. Chicago will cut a few TE’s that might be worth a look and good RB’s get cut every year.

Why 3 QBs? Already have enough with 2 in Dak and Dalton. We actually need a FB, especially since Olawale opted out of this season. I say keep Sewo as our FB. He's big (6'3", 240), fast (mid 4.5 40s), and super versatile since he can run, block and catch the football. We definitely need a FB more than we need a 3rd QB at this time.

with the new practice squad rules they can keep the 3rd QB and protect them No one really has tape on him and I just cannot see a team picking up a 3rd QB and putting them on their roster. I think there are 4 players that can be protected on the practice squad.

My guess is because they like Denucci and either Dak or Dalton won’t be here next year and Dennucci will be back up. We’ll keep 3 QBs is my guess and Denucci won’t make practice squad without getting poached

He made it until the 7h round. He could very well make through a season on the PS. Most teams will stick with their current top 2 QB's for a while. I think he will be fine on the PS.
But can see why they keep him on the 53 as well.
I won't complain, but who is that 53rd player and how can he help the team over a 3rd team QB.

Fans though Cooper rush was the answer after his 1st preseason. Look how that went. And we do not know how DeNucci will be in games.
TC reports, and I have seen this several times, that Thorson has the strongest and best arm of all 4 QB's.

However, DeNucci seems to have been a MM pick, so that carries a lot of weight (no MM pun intended)

Babe talked the other night about McCarthy wanting his second tight end to be more of an H-back. So it would seem they are going to use the tight ends a little how they did in 06.

Lol. Dak won't be here next year?

Dinucci is a luxury, not a necessity. This team needs a FB more right now. You put the 7th round Dinucci on the practice squad. If he gets picked up. Oh well. You draft another one next year. Dak is not going anywhere. Book it.

well not because he don't possess talent but because he and his agent cant come to an agreement Mr sensitive. Glad you're not making personnel decisions. If they would have listened to you Romo would have been practiced squad. as much as i think fans over rated him he was good for the team. Dalton most likely wont be here next year but this team don't need 4 TE that's for sure so book it Dinnucci will be on the 53. He wont make a gameday active list but hell be on roster cause the cowboys see something.
