One is Nolan because he didnt blitz enough to take away the play action.

The other is Schultz. His drop in the red zone was big and could have been a first down after the catch or set up 3rd and real short.

His drop in the final possession cost Cowboys precious time. Had he caught it and went out of bounds, the Cowboys could have still thought about running PA or screen play since it would have been 2nd down and short.

Dak about to get MM fired. MM needs to make sure he puts the best qb on the field, a few more games like this in the upcoming games and we'll see a change at the position.

McCarthy was an awful hire. They actually got worse than Garrett out of firing him. Felt this way since he was announced as head coach. Came up short so often with Rodgers it’s criminal. Dak isn’t anywhere close to Rodgers level.
Laufenberg actually touched on this. Said McCarthy’s entire career he’s had Montana, Favre, and Rodgers which means he always had the QB advantage. And this year in roughly a third of the games he’ll be at a disadvantage and in another third it will be a push at QB. Big change for him.

It wasn't that. Their receivers were getting open right away. We needed to jam.

My close first cousin "I told you so" will continue lurking for now since its just the first game, but I will say that I share very very strongly in your opinion here.

Outstanding post.

I wasn't paying that close attention, but saw they were pressing at the line. Were they just letting them run by?

Aaron Rodgers was the best player in the NFL by a wide margin for about 8 years (and today he also looked like it again) and in that time MM won 1 SB. I would not want ANYONE associated with leading a team that can bomb that hard with the finest building block you could possibly ask for.
