The SEC won’t. They aren’t colleges, just football factorie$. That’s all they have down there. Football is their only indication of relevance.

Compare the graduation rates to teams in the Big Ten. How many stories have you heard about southern fans getting violent over football games? I’m sure if you researched the collective scholastic acumen, the SEC would lag FAR behind. Ever wonder why SEC teams despise schools like Penn State? The SEC puts all their eggs in one basket, which is football. Penn State has had success in football, wrestling, volleyball, hockey, women’s basketball, AND in the classroom. The SEC resents the whole “doing it the right way” talk.

Wow really? I said the Big 10 made a stupid decision (which is confirmed since they are now retracting that decision), and you took it as a personal insult? Sheesh. Some people are get waaaaaayyyyy too much of their identity from sports.

And what is this about the SEC? Trying to make me defend them in so many irrelevant aspects? God, Family, Life, Death?.......That's dumb. I couldn't care less about the SEC or their teams. The only thing that I agree with them on is that they didn't make an ignorant overreaction move the way the Big 10 did.

Big 10 made the conservative, "safe" judgment early on.

But with other teams playing and no huge outbreak of the virus, more information has become available. Not saying they shouldn't have waited, or done things differently, just that I can't fault their early decision, depends how you viewed the situation at the time...
