Dalton is not a bad QB, but a top 30 QB is not going to look good replacing a top 5-8 QB. There is a massive dropoff and Dalton is not going to overcome that and the team is simply not good enough to step up.

cowboys had a top 5 ranked offense in 3 of the 5 years Dak started under center. We see with him out Elliot is averaging less than 2 yards per carry.

My fundamental problem with Dak has always been his inability to accurately drive the ball downfield. In todays NFL that's the name of the game. Dallas runs this offense because its what Dak can handle. If Dallas somehow landed Trevor lawrence do you think Dallas wouldn't be running Dak's offense?

Nope, they'd be 3 wide and attacking in 15yards deeper downfield. Why? Because Lawrence can do that effortlessly. Dak, not so much.

Compare our route concepts to NO, TB, KC SFor LA. Ours is by far the simplest.

As someone in this thread stated earlier QB position is about a lot more than arm strength.

OK now that we figured out Dalton can’t even hold Daks jockstrap when it comes to quarterbacking the game of football let’s talk about Mike McCarthy.

This is supposed to be a Super Bowl winning coach. I get the injuries, but you have your team out here extremely unmotivated to play. Is he a fluke? Rodgers did claim he had a low football IQ.

I predict he’ll be here until the end of next season and then it’s Lincoln Riley time. They talked to him in the off-season and we’ve been drafting Oklahoma players. Just a prediction.
