Sturm went on a rant post game Last night and said MM is absolutely a man that can turn this culture around. Sturm is one guy that I trust and value in the media.

Sturm knows him more than any of us for sure. I’ve heard him say that since he was hired. He just needs a real offseason and to get some guys he likes. These guys are too Garretted.

We forget that these “men” are mostly in their early-20s and have been coddled their entire life because they’re good at sports.

Entitlement is a macro-problem in today’s society, and it applies to these overpaid, diva athletes as well.

They don’t know how to handle things in a mature way because they’ve never had to. Their initial instinct is to run to social media instead of address things face to face.

And yes, I’m part of “this generation”, so don’t come at me with any old-timer or boomer comments

I think he handled it perfectly. Hey you got a problem, my door is open, let's discuss this like men and solve the issue.

That is how men solve problem....along with blunt force trauma.

I joke, but kudos for handling this the right way.

This team sucks. Across the board.

I am on team McCarthy by the way. These players don’t deserve the benefit of the doubt.
Agreed, every week that passes is turning me into a McCarthy supporter, at least for year 1. This is an impossible situation to overcome as a new HC. The task of cleaning up a rotten culture that still has 10 years of Garrett's fingerprints all over it is a big enough job in itself. Then you factor in the pandemic causing a limited offseason/training camp, injuries to the entire OL, QB, and key starters on defense and it's amazing that people think Garrett could do a better job right now.

People need to realize....McCarthy was run out of Green Bay....He's been given a pass because he has a Super Bowl title to his name. As far as I'm concerned...he hasn't done squat here to deserve a free pass. Rodgers got him a title...he was just along for the ride. And now....it appears more than ever...MM is way in over his head. If you thought Garrett was a puppet....look @ what you got now. You got your head coach crying to the media 6 weeks into the season. LOL....you just can't make that stuff up. I can't wait to see what insignificant move he does next....I see they cut 2 people today....to make room for Gregory.....LOL.....Earth shattering.

McCarthy needs to rattle some cages....and so far he's hid behind that stupid mask of his. If he's going to make a difference...he needs to bench someone...make someone accountable!!!! Hell....fire a coach!!!! Might just win back the players...loyalty and trust.

The locker room drama will be the most exciting thing to happen this season.

Yeah...I am definitely leaning on the side that Marinelli and even Garret covered for these fanny-patted fools. I am just not seeing anything on the field to tell me they care about me as a fan. The fans complained 100% for them in the past with Garrett...now they come out here like this? Sorry....I'm not seeing it. They gotta go.. The whole lot of em...I am at the point where I can't judge the coaches anymore because of the sorry players. They've lost their mulligans....

If the coach can't get rid of any players, he's got no power. I bet you players are texting Jerry tonight *****ing and moaning.

First of all I still haven’t formed an opinion if MM but it’s not looking good.

Now, the only way to handle this is to cut the player who leaked and Jerry has to let him. Jerry MUST let the coach be the man in charge. If the players get their little feelings hurt and start to lay down that’s fine. There is game film to expose the players who lack integrity and quit when it’s time for them to contribute.

The ‘is it the players or the coaches’ question can be answered in the film room. That’s when you know what the play call was and who screwed up. That’s where you can see if the coaches are putting their players in the right position to make plays.

If it’s a coaching issue then Jerry’s has grown man problems to work out in the off-season. But under no circumstances can a player leak to the press and question the leadership. Jerry damn sure can’t support the player no matter who it is if he is exposed as the leaker. Jerry has to let McCarthy be the last word on that team.
