Don’t get me wrong, if Dak does want some crazy Mahomes deal, I would have to pause because our team is trash. My point is that you leverage Dak for a good team friendly quarterback deal or you trade him for picks.

We have to stop throwing picks and money at the offense. There is already enough talent on the offense to win if the defense was even average.

The defense is the priority. There is no offense in the history of the NFL that could overcome this defense. Next year Tyron and La'el will be back. Zack Martin will be there at RG. One other positive is we are seeing now if Connor McGovern has a chance to replace Connor Williams. Biadasz is showing promise after 2 games. The offensive line will be good enough. The have plenty of weapons, although it might be a good idea to use one of those comp picks in the 3rd round on a RB. The offseason needs to be focused on the defense and signing Dak. If they can get a cap friendly deal done with Dak, at least for 2021 they can look at dumping DLaw and Zeke in 2022. But the thing is, they need to bake sure they have the right replacements. We never thought losing Heath was going to hurt but clearly it does. They can fix this defense in one off season but only if it gets the right level of attention.

You aim for a top 5 pick depending on some things will determine what yo do.
If Sewell is there trade T. Smith and Conner Williams to the Bengals with a pick and get there 1st.
Flip Gallup to the Pat's for there 1st.
Get Shaun Wade get Micah Parsons.

Its a start. Then look at the Bama OG to help the oline in the 2nd round

We’ve been rebuilding since 1996. In order to rebuild, you have to have a foundation. Our foundation has been 8-8. Dak is good enough to cover up things during a “rebuild” so I wouldn’t get rid of him. Makes no sense at all.
