We're not in the Trevor Lawrence race. We wouldn't draft him and we'll win too many games to be in that position anyway. Even 4 wins will be too many.
Well gosh darnit, what a bummer! Does Trevor have a brother maybe?

Y'all are faithless.

Jaylon's about to put this team on his back.

Rally cat to the rescue....

I don’t think the Jets would do it..

They are in a complete rebuild and Dak needs to go to a team that thinks they can win now..

Someone like Indianapolis or New England is who should make a play for Dak.
It would be just like Jerry to somehow screw up trading Dak by trading him to move up 2 spots in the draft. If you’re gonna trade Dak you need to get more than that

you guys ain't gonna wanna pay Lawrence after his rookie deal anymore than you want to pay Dak.
coming off an injury i bet the # is a little lower anyway.
pay Dak address the holes.
ipso-fatso...solved.

Good. I want nothing but embarrassing losses the next coming weeks, and here’s why:

A. We get to see mini WWE/Boxing matches. Y’all see Trevon Diggs get into it with Scary Terry earlier? Whew! Then Antwaun Woods not only getting into it with a Washington player, but his own teammate!! It’s going to get chipper! If this team can’t play football, why not get the entertainment of another sport!

Also, one of a few things is gonna happen here:

A.) Jerry’s so embarrassed, he sails out on his yacht, never to return again. NFLPA decides who gets to be the next owner.

B.) Jerry goes nuclear and not only fires the entire coaching staff, but the players too, regardless of dead cap.

C. Jerry’s so embarrassed he steps down as owner, but his son takes over for him (ugh)

D. Jerry’s so embarrassed, he sells the team.

E. Jerry blames it all on COVID, keeps the same players and staff, and fans get pissed and sales drop, resulting in an Angry Jerry Jones.

F. Jerry Jones orders the POTUS at the time to drop a nuke on the stadium and demands whoever he wants from whatever team as compensation for what happened to him and his team.
Antwaun woods is still on the roster?
Good for him

I agree, but realize that Dak will have missed all of this season, plus he will becoming off a MAJOR injury. These two issues will greatly affect what Jerry can get for Dak in a trade.

An ankle is NOT a major injury. Guys break ankles all the time and come back just fine. It's not like Dak is a running back, receiver of DB, a position that requires constant cutting on that ankle. Dak can play in high tops and never think about his ankle again.

With this O-line, the offense will be anemic. With this defense, we are atrocious. Not winning another game is possible.

I have no idea who to take with a top 5 pick. With every position on defense in need of improvement, I would probably trade down, and draft as many players as possible, but who know what players Jerry would draft.

This team is so bad that 2-14 is a lock! They have cashed out and the players are collecting their paychecks. They will go down in history as the worst team in Cowboy's history book it!

I really do hope they go 2-14.

Hopefully the injury gets Dak's head right as far as the security of the long term deal is concerned. The longer the better.. as it affords the opportunity to stretch out that bonus. The longer the team the bigger the bonus can be. Surely someone in Dak's camp will realize this and he will sign on the dotted line. His cap hit in '21 and '22 will likely be in the range of 12-15 million.. leaving plenty of space to go after defensive help while still keeping the guy who has piloted the #1 offense in the league for a year plus in the fold. It would be the height of stupidity to hit reset at QB and HOPE the new guy can play at Dak's level from the word go. How many rookies have done that? I think we can count them on no fingers..

I hope so. You look at the last two really bad seasons (2010 and 2015), they ended up winning a few more games than they should have. We could have had a higher pick, potentially #2 at the highest, and taken Von Miller to pair with Ware. In 2015, they won at Washington and that resulted in the #4 pick instead of #3. They could have had Bosa at #3. I know they wanted a superstar RB but no way they would have chosen Zeke over Bosa at #3.

we already have THAT QB...pay him...use the high picks to fix the holes.
we dont need to make it worse.

If we do play into the #1 pick the FO really needs to think about taking the kid from Clemson, he could be a generational talent that you cant walk away from. Dak is a heck of a player and leader, but if the whole thing is going to be blown up why not let Dak get his money and hopefully success somewhere else.

Here's what a buddy of mine sent from another forum...Can you read Jerrah!

"...if the jets and cowboys got together and created one team, they could contend for a high school championship...maybe..."

Just what others are saying.

Go Cowboys!
