Anyone seen a fullback this year?

Kinda random but was thinking I haven't seen a fullback this year at all.

I saw Woods lined up at FB in goal line and I saw Zeke take a snaps at FB with Pollard at RB.

I thought I read where Mike was a fullback guy?

Had had used guys like Kuhn and Ripokowski in the past, but his last year in GB he didn't have one.

I truly wish we had a bonafied fullback on the 43 and actually used him. I feel a FB would have fared better to help open up holes inside the Tackles for both Zeke and Pollard. Crazy how our rushing attack has suffered all season, yet this coaching staff continues to refuse to employ and use a FB, especially since our Oline has suffered terribly due to injuries and inexperience.

I'm glad FB Sewo Olonilua is still on the practice squad, but with his size (6'3", 240 lbs) and ability to run, block and catch the football, I don't understand why he's not on the 43 man roster and actually used?

Good point. They were planning to have Schultz there but then Jarwin went down week 1.

While it's a dying position, I hope we upgrade over Jamie next year

That's what I was thinking also, with a OL that is struggling in run blocking, a FB helps at the point of attack.

I also hate seeing a TE at FB, its a completely different body type and doesn't generally work as well. You want a shorter 6'0" max FB as they need to get low and leverage block in the hole. The bigger guys can't get down enough to have the proper angle. (not to mention the proper mind set).

I've seen some of that. I didn't watch last week's mess however.

Zeke runs better when the qb is under center, and I bet he would run well with a full back.

That is not the run style the cowboys play. More often than not they run out of shotgun.

I do not like the run game, or offense in general. I think they should play under center more, throw quick slants, bootlegs, use a full back, and lots of play action to setup the long ball.

I liked the run game when Bill Calahan was here.

Olawale opted out, and the only FB was an UDFA. MM said he often seen a TE and a FB as interchangeable. So they went with that option.
Else I think Olawale would have been on the roster.

Speaking of FB's, I seen last night one of our old FB's made a key block last night for the Falcons leading to a TD. Keith Smith, a converted LB.

Elliot is lost this year. No O-Line or Dak. Kind of sad. And when he breaks a 5 yard or more run he fumbles.

Mike has used a FB in the past, but they pretty much stuck with the offense from last year because of the limited preparation time before the season. I don't think there is even a designated TE on the roster - just the practice squad.

Other than what you've seen, I've seen the TE line up at FB a few times, but we haven't used one much.

The NFL has enough boredom without the FB.
Fans do not want to see a FB.
