Root for better pick without rooting against the Cowboys

I hope they win out.

with philly losing and looking at our remaining schedule I’m quickly moving back towards this view and jumping off the tank train....

would be cool if there was a path to 1st place by thanksgiving....means we need two nfce wins in a row

We can cheer for other teams to win without cheering for the Cowboys to lose.

You might or might not want to cheer for the NFCE teams to win but we can all cheer for the Jets, Jags, Texans, etc..

It's not just cheering for the Cowboys to get a top 2 pick.

There are multiple 2 and 3 win teams that could come into play if the Cowboys win more games.

This weeks games. Teams with 3 or less wins in Red.

Nope - I will root for this team to lose without watching. I see the results then come on here to see what’s being bandied about. NO MO WINS

Yeah I'd like to get the best pick possible but I Think it would benefit this team psychologically if they could turn this mess into a NFC East playoff berth.

I believe that bad karma from too many moronic fans has been the reason the Cowboys have not had more success the past 2 decades.

Back during the Nineties Super Bowl years the Cowboys clearly had better fans than the Eagles.

Then after the 3 Super Bowl wins in 4 years a huge number of morons became Cowboys fans.

Now as a whole, Cowboys fans and Eagles fan are basically the same.

The Cowboys have to be bad long enough for the morons to fade away before the karma will become positive for the Cowboys.
I think you post some great stuff man but I don't like this one. I know you are a logistical / science guy but you're talking karma? Do you really believe in that?

No one believes who or what the root for has any influence on the outcome. What some believe in, including myself, is that rooting for your team to lose for any reason shows a lack of character. It’s a loser mentality. You quit. And every time you quit, it gets easier and easier for you.[/QUOTE
Take for example Miami they tanked for Tua and still have multiple picks this draft from tanking and now their kicking ***. I guess their character is getting lucky. Teams can do it but fans cant?

Interesting hypothesis. Sadly, time is one of the variables necessary to prove it.

I don't think he really does. I'm not familiar with his sense of humor, but this is so uncharacteristic of his normal posts, I'd have to say it's sarcasm.

I dont need to play these games of semantics. Im 100% for Dallas losing every game this year and I super don't care that some people on here think im a bad fan or a loser mentality because of this stance.

So... go Jets, go Jags, go everyone else at the bottom of the league, and go whoever is playing against Dallas in the next several games.

I'm just sad we won the 2 games we did. Or rather won 1 game and had the other gave to us by people who don't know the rules of the game they get paid millions to play.

TANK! TANK! TANK!

And some people believe, myself included, that there's a bigger picture at play than simply rooting for a win every Sunday like a mindless puppet. That sometimes its necessary to take a step back in order to take two forward. I'd rather be a smart fan than a loyal (dumb) one.

But ultimately I don't have to offer an explanation to any of you for my rooting interests in any game.
No ones stopping you from rooting for the Cowboys to lose.

Synergy or negative synergy is really a better terminology and I believe that synergy is real.
I believe something like this but have never really been able to put my finger completely on it. I think the word karma just bothers me because I've experienced the opposite in my life. Totally appreciate the response X.

Now I disagree with you on this. If the coaches and players would just listen to me, we would every game and the Super Bowl every year.I have played a perfect game from my couch, lol.

Excellent post!

50% of fans want one team to win and 50% of fans want the other team to win. Dallas has the best fan base in America going by value of franchise, TV ratings and fans that attend road games. The problem is not due to a lack of enthusiasm across the country.

Some message board fans may want them to lose for draft positioning but we make up 0.00005% of all Cowboy fans out there.

So it’s not about the owner, coaches, and players, it’s about the fans causing bad karma. Hilarious! I shouldn’t have walked under that ladder in 1995.

yeah!, I'm hoping we win just enough games to knock us out of the Fields, Lawerence pick. I'd hate to lose our gimp 40million dollar man, says no Cowboys fan.
