Did we beat a good team?

We beat a 4-5 team.
Context. They had issues at the start of the season. They had just won their last three games including beating the Packers and Bears who had winning records at the time. This was a HUGE game for them as they were just starting to catch the Packers. It was a fantastic win. Very impressive and better than any win last season when you consider the teams we beat and more importantly, when we beat them. I.e. mostly at their weakest e.g. the Dolphins.

Did we beat a good team? Just asking.

It's debatable. They had been trending upwards prior to yesterdays loss and it was in their home stadium.
But if going by you are what your record says you are then probably no.

Moral victories and low bar standards have become the norm and get in the dance and see what happens enthusiasts are the most recent trend as well.

Funny how after one win that beating a crap division and getting lesser draft value is all the rage now and anyone questioning the final year end net gain from this are the quitters, trolls, non-fans and other personal insults that supposedly aren't tolerated, lol.

Fun times in Cowboy Land as usual.

No, we didn't. We really didn't. It's a 4-6 team overall with one fluke win against the Packers. Who cares if they're on a streak, the wins are against the Lions and 5-5 Bears. They also won against the lowly Texans, and loss to the terrible Falcons. They give up 27.8 points per game, and we score 3.2 more points on them than the average. Whoopee.

Lamest win there is, there's nothing to get excited about here.

No. As I said in my thread yesterday they are very equal to us in most statistical categories, they barely edge us out in a few and we barely edge them out in a few. They had a losing record with 4 wins, 3 of which came against teams with losing records. Their lone impressive win was GB.

They are mediocre at best. I’m happy we won but not surprised and am not doing cartwheels. Same with after we beat Washington on Thurs. We have the 2nd easiest schedule left in the league, we should win the division rather easily, our only obstacle may be the Giants if they continue to look better.

The Vikings are inconsistent.

They won at Lambeau, lost 31-30 to the Titans, and Seattle scored with 15 seconds left to beat them 27-26.

But they also got trounced by Atlanta and Indianapolis.

Sad but true. Very nice we won but not an impressive win by any means IMO.

Nope.

Any team that has a coach on the hot-seat and is unlikely to survive the season/off-season is not a "good team" IMO.

Sure, they had been playing better they last 3-4 games, but they are still a team that was 1-5 after 6 games of the season, will unlikely make the playoffs, and it is doubtful they will even finish at or above .500.

As so many posters like to point out, this is a team the Cowboys SHOULD beat. Those teams that do not have a winning record.

They haven't had an easy schedule.

They lost to the Titans and Seahawks both by one point. Nothing in those games and arguably should have won at least one of those. They lost to the Colts and Packers. Two play off teams. The Falcons have a decent starting team but their lack of strength in depth has been their issue when the injuries hit them.

If the Vikings beat the Saints (again) or the Bucs then I wouldn't be surprised as they have the quality.

This was far more impressive than beating horrific teams like the Giants and Commanders last season. Lest we forget that we lost to the Vikings last season...

They came in with one of the best Running games in football, Dalvin Cook has been tearing it up. Cousins was healthy with Thielen and Jefferson. Imagine if we had Kendricks instead of Jaylon and Harrison instead of Woods?

Yes they're a good football team and we beat them in their house.

Ummm.... we lost to the Seahawks by one last Wilson drive as well. I could say we should have won against the Seahawks and Rams, but there's no what-ifs in the NFL.

We lost to the Browns, Seahawks, and Rams (3 playoff teams with a combined record of 20-9) by one drive. Not sure what you're trying to say here other than celebrating a mediocre win which means essentially nothing and says nothing.

Yes we did beat a good team. They were playing very well, like they were expected to play from the start of the season. But they got off to a poor start like we did.
I know the usuals will say we did not beat a team with a winning record. Or does that just apply to Dak, when he was playing. Anyway, yes we beat a good team, on the road.

It depends upon what people have as their bandings. I don't just consider there to be good and bad teams. I would have very good and excellent teams as bandings above good. A play off team at least termed as good if not very good.

I have the Vikings finishing 8-8 or 9-7. Had they won the 1 point defeats then they would most likely make the play offs. So the narrative changes from them being a good team to a terrible one based on a couple of plays from two games! I suppose that's the way people view most aspects of life these days. Very cut throat and a lack of perspective/realism.

No but they did beat a healthier team. Could ask the same question a little differently, did they lose to a good team?

The Cowboys are not a good team, no team in the East is a good team at this time. I do not know if the Cowboys will become a good team this season but winning is better than losing. They can't do anything about the level of competition.
