As explosive as he is, please remove CeeDee from special teams! Bottom line, you can't risk injury of one of your best players on special teams. Nothing could possibly be worst.

Regardless, majority of all great punt returns are negated by a block in the back. Hence, take Lamb off SPECIALS!

So far CeeDee's quarterbacks have led him into more danger than any punt return. He's taken some big hits after the catch, but much to his credit he's shown the toughness needed to succeed in the NFL.

Frankly I'd much rather see Pollard's kick return duty end first. It's just painful to watch.

It's weird.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Pollard_(American_football)
"Pollard was considered one of the best kickoff return specialists in college football, tying a FBS record with 7 career kick-return touchdowns, 87 kickoff returns (second in school history), 2,616 kickoff return yards (second in school history), 30.1 kick-return average (school record)"

NFL isn't college, blah blah blah, but still, he was incredibly productive per return and in aggregate. It wasn't a fluke.

That one that he got stopped around the 10 - shouldn't someone be blocking? Slowing the coverage team down a bit? It's not like he took the kick at the back of the end zone.

I think he's a little tentative, and would do better doing it more like Myles, just running ahead and hoping a lane turns up and he can make a guy miss.

He just shouldn't be this unproductive at it.

Anyone watching the All 22 has an evaluation on how well our blockers are doing?

What in the hell is “86 CeeDee on Specials” even supposed to mean?

Is that the jersey # the OP thinks CeeDee Lamb wears?

Eighty-six or 86 is American English slang used to indicate that an item is no longer available, traditionally from a food or drinks establishment; or referring to a person or people who are not welcome in the premises. Its origins are unknown but seem to have been coined in the 1920s or 1930s.

No.

Amazingly enough, Ceedee is tied for 7th in PR yards despite splitting duty with Ced Wilson and being on a team with horrible that rarely forces punts...

Keep him there

Deion Sanders returned punts and he was the best player on defense. So did Dez in his rookie year. Let CD return punts in situations where there is a chance of a return.

Sure let's dedicate a roster spot to a return guy who offers nothing to the team. It's not like he's the one wr on the roster. Let the kid do it.

Even the kicker risks injury.
If you try and play this game fearful of injury, than you might as well play tennis or golf.
This is Football.
CD gives you an opportunity to take one to the house, that play can win a game.
@Nav22 , "take one to the house" is in reference to taking the football to the end zone for a TD = 6pts.

It's football. There is 50/50 chance on every play that an injury can occur.

Yes he has. He has definitely taken a few big hits and got up, shook it off and came back for more. I hope he's tough enough to keep hanging in there. So far so good.

The term originated during the Korean war, a reference to the F-86 fighter jet; when an F-86 shot down an enemy plane, it was 86'd. The United States also has a Uniform Code of Military Justice that has an Article 86: Absence Without Leave, a.k.a AWOL. The term was derived from military shorthand.

"86" is most commonly used to refer to throwing something away or refusing service. From Wikipedia: ... 1933, The most widely accepted theory of the term's origin states it derives from a code supposedly used in some restaurants in the 1930s, wherein 86 was a shortform among restaurant workers for 'We're all out of it.
