Georgia Football Coach Repeatedly Punches 9-Year-Old Player in Viral Video

Footage of a youth football coach hitting a player during a game has caused outrage on social media, while both his and his team's half-hearted apologies have been met with a fierce backlash.

In the video, which first surfaced online on Wednesday, an adult who appears to be a Pee Wee football coach can be seen yelling and then hitting a kid as he walks off the field at the end of the game.

The worse part is his “apology”

“I shouldn’t have disciplined him in public”

Wait what? So clearly he doesn’t realize the behavior is wrong. He just realizes he shouldn’t do it where other people can see him do it.

If he doesn't face jail-time for that, not just community service or time served but actual jail-time, then I think other justice is needed.

The last article I saw about this said the kid's parents did not want to press charges.

make sure we keep filming and ensuring we have something to go VIRAL.

disappointed no one on the field or stands got up to stop it.

"I'm gonna apologize for my actions about what took place today," he said. "At the end of the day I am a man and I'm not going to make no excuses for what I did. I was wrong."

"I shouldn't have discipled [the child] in public. I should've waited till we got back.

"At the end of the day I apologize to him, the kids, the city and my family back at home. I do apologize."

he should have done it when they got back and no one was looking?

Then they are failures as parents and the child should be taken from them. That is inexcusable.

He did it twice, they must've been away on travel or something. Not one parent ran onto the field? Seems odd, he even notes, they should've waited until they got home so leads me to believe he had free reign until then, even sadder. Grown man swung on him twice and then kicks him off the field to further humiliate the kid...would love a minute with him.

Honestly that states version of child protective services should investigate and BAN him from working with children in any capacity.

he did it and he doesn’t even feel
Sorry for doing it. Just says he needs to do
It where he won’t get caught next time.

He isn’t safe around children.

I guarantee you that pos wouldn't even attempt to do that to someone his own size.

If the parents won't press charges, the DA should intervene on behalf of that boy. I'd bet he'd get a lot of cops volunteering to go make that arrest.

And that apology was as wrong as the act. To call that discipline should call for an investigation into what other kids that pos has access to and they should talk to those kids about what has happened before this. That's not the first time that coward has struck a child.

Exactly right. That isn’t “discipline”. That is him being mad and taking his anger out on the kid.

the kid doesn’t learn anything from that type of behavior. The only thing they learn is if you’re mad it’s ok to hit somebody.

He's been banned for life from the league and the County Sheriff's Office has launched an investigation, he has also been terminated from his position as a counselor in a detention center.

Got a feeling that is his Son. I wish I hadn't seen that. Now I feel like I need to go hunting.

In what world am I living in that somebody thinks that is OK to do to a child? Furthermore, does he believe that to be good coaching and guidance? Absolutely disgusting. They should play that video on a loop in the courtyard of the jail he needs to be in.

He needs to pack his bags and move to Belarus. His time here is done.
