Alex Smith's calf injury is a functionality issue and not soreness

Just because Dallas destroyed Philly at home, does not mean that a WFT, that lost to the Panthers at home, will go to Philly and just walk away with a win. Washington's defense, does not look formidable; so Hurts and the other Philly losers, should be okay at home.

You looking for better draft position for the Cowboys?

better draft position and better chance this FO makes some changes like firing Nolan etc. If we make the playoffs you can say goodbye to any realization by these idiots that they need to course correct

Commanders and Cowboys parlay this week. Easy win. There is no chance the Eagles beat the Skins. It just isn't happening. I hope I'm wrong and lose my bet but I feel pretty confident I'll be getting paid.
There’s no chance the Eagles win a division game versus a QB with one leg? It’s probably the definition of a toss up lol

I listened to Dr. Chao on NFL Radio explain this the other day and it's so damn crazy. Think about how often you use your calf muscles when you aren't playing a violent sport.

I can't see him playing Sunday, but with the release of Haskins Monday - who knows?

Football Team coach Ron Rivera has expressed optimism Smith will be ready to go for Sunday's do-or-die tilt with the Eagles, but Smith's calf apparently hasn't been tested since Friday. How he feels on Wednesday and how his leg responds on Thursday will be the two biggest stumbling blocks of the week. It will be Taylor Heinicke in prime time if Smith can't go.

I know this isn't Cowboys news, but it really is.
Best news we can get this week.

That's terrifying.

Did you ever see his leg at it's worst after the infections? If you did, you wouldn't believe that leg is still attached to his body. One of the gnarliest things I have ever seen.

Here is a picture

and this article has a video that shows it as well. It's not pretty.

I did, pretty disturbing what he went through. I cannot believe he's playing.

Yep, it is truly a medical miracle. Makes Jaylon's recovery seem like a walk in the park. To go through that....and then come back to football...I am pretty sure I couldn't do it. I would have rode off into the sunset. Dude has millions to live on. Cant imagine what it will be like in 15 years as he ages.

But then again it is this high competitiveness that drives these guys so that they are able to make it to the NFL. No doubt there are guys in it strictly for the money but so many others they feel the need to push themselves and without that drive they would have never made it this far in their career

Our Dline needs to target that injured lower leg. Take him out early. Game over. Cowboys win.

Wow. Despite the fact I want them to lose, it's good to see hes overcome that. I always liked Alex Smith as a QB.

Yes, in a league where everyone is fast and strong its heart and brains that make the difference.

With that defense Smith doesn’t have to be fully ready....the offense is hand it to gibson and throw passes in the flats......

i cant see Philly winning this one

Especially if McLaurin is out.

Update:

Alex Smith (calf) is not practicing Wednesday.
He was merely "loosening up" on the side field while Taylor Heinicke handled the first-team reps at Wednesday's session. With the NFC East title on the line Sunday night against the Eagles, Washington surely hopes Smith's calf is in good enough shape to make the start, but Smith is someone who needs his legs if he's going to perform to his best ability.

F1 also got a DNP

Going to be a great Sunday night game! Even greater if the Boys win at noon!
