Overrated:

I think JOK has been a little bit.
Sewell has been for sure.
I dont see how JOK is overrated. A 220 lb lb who can cover with his explosion is ridiculous. He looks like he has much better change of direction than isiah simmons too.

But underrated will continue to be eric stokes. Cz gonna put respect on his name next year.

I don't know, I actually think he'll be a solid pro. He's a great route runner and he can play any WR spot.

Agreed.

Do not agree. Think this kid can be special.

Agreed.
The problem with JOK is position
Too small to be a LB to me
And do you draft a guy in top half of first round to play a position he hasn’t played?

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is 6'1" 220.

Lavonta Davis is 6'1" 233 and was about 220 at Nebraska. He's a 3-time All-Pro.

Deion Jones is 6'1" and 227 playing Middle Linebacker and has made the Pro Bowl.

JOK will be fine and a smart DC will find ways to to utilize him.

I see him list at 215 lbs. Not that 4 lbs makes it breaks him but let’s be accurate.

Requiring a "smart DC" means he has some substantial bust risk if he goes to the wrong team. Dallas hasn't had a smart DC in over a decade, for example.

If the team does draft a JOK, they have to be able to protect him, David has Suh, and Vita Vea in front of him. Like JOK as a nickel player, but do have concerns in the run game. Cannot take him at 10, but would be in the conversation as the best player in a trade back inside the top 20. That extra pick to add some beef would ease my concerns.

Thoughts on last years' picks.

Interesting watch but I think it’s obviously too early to tell.

I can see Reagor situation not improving much due to no fault of his own (Hurts as his QB).

A lot of Ruggs issues were due to injury and COVID (IIRC).

But it's not just the size concern, it's the position concern.

All of those dudes played LBr in college at a high level. They showed you tape of being physical and being able to get off blocks while being undersized.

If JOKs tape was filled up with him blowing up blocks and getting off them in the run game I wouldn't have as much concern...but it doesn't. Seems like he lines up in the slot most of the time and just flys around to the football freely without having to worry about blocks.

I agree with this take. JOK didn’t play a traditional linebacker spot in college, so there is a lot of projecting going on.

Pehaps Quinn would know what to do with him but taking him at #10 would cause me to take pause.

Jabrill Peppers has just now (year 4) turned into a decent safety after playing a similar hybrid rover role at Michigan.

Isaiah Simmons, whom I think was a better prospect coming out of Clemson, struggled last hear with the Cards having to learn how to play in a defined role.

I’m not betting against JOK, just a bit skeptical. This defense needs impact starters now, not 2-3 years down the road.
