Yes so it would simply be time to be even more patient. I have waited over 20 years, what's another 3-4 years until Prescott's awful contract is off the books?
Hey quitters quit. I wonder what you'll do when we win the SB either this year or next.

1-2 changes on offense ... if that. Possibly getting a new LG in Slater. But I believe Smith and Collins will be back in full strength. We likely draft a special teams WR / RB later and a few OL depth guys

Dak
Zeke, TP
Coop, Gallup, Lamb
Jarwin, Schultz
Smith, Collins
Williams, Martin
Biadasz
I wouldn't spend a first round pick on any offensive player not named Sewell. and teams don't make it to the superbowl because they have the best guards in the league. no one can name the starting guards in the championship games without googling it.....

I think he does, just like Sean Payton does.

Arians had a HOF QB in AZ and now he has one in TB, he knows the difference is what's around the QB. Brady wasn't the only pickup, he picked up Fournette, Gronkowski and Suh. All factors in getting to and winning that SB.

But I do think McC was in need of a job and more than willing to tell Booger what he wanted to hear. He didn't want to hear "I can't win with your QB".

The beauty of having guys like Brady, Brees and Rodgers is that you can win with less around them. QB's like Cousins, Ryan and Stafford, they've got to have more.
lets not forget Evans, Brate and Godwin were already on the team....Tampa had some nice resources.

exactly and 3-4 years, just in time to pay the QB and go through the asinine argument again, except the aveage top QB salaries will be in the 50s...can you imagine what they say then

The same. Yes the "average" will be in the 50's but the cap is likely to be in the mid-$200 millions, so percentage-wise we'll hear the same old same old...

People keep on banging on about Paxton Lynch and it makes me laugh.

Had we drafted Lynch in 2016 and it went badly (but who knows if he had played behind the best o line in football)...then we could have drafted Mahomes in 2017!

But no worries it's ok - with the impending reduced salary cap we might be able to sign Dak Prescott coming off a serious leg injury for circa $35-$40 million a season for the foreseeable future.

Ok cool. So he’s been out of the league for an entire season. I liked Lynch a lot coming out.

Hackenberg, Brisset, Kessler, Jones to name a few others we could’ve drafted. All would need paid if they played well in our system

well given the cap is all but settled for the max spending of each team , they can now truly open negotiations again..

maybe Dak and his agent came to Jones with more realistic counter offer..

Maybe
But remember that before Dak went down, he seemed pretty comfortable in MMs offesne.
I know they were three of the very worst pass defenses in the league, but MM did get to see Dak and the offense light up Atlanta, Seattle and Cleveland.
Extremely hard to measure due to how bad those pass defenses were....but 500 yards and 40+ points are still pretty sweet
I guess the lingering question is how e do vs the better pass Ds.......guess we'll see.

It wasn't MM's offense. They made few changes because of COVID. It was more Garrett's offense still than MM's.

One of the Cowboys most analytical reporters.

WTH? That would be stupid as hell! The team has not even seen him cut or run or work out on the machines and they want to sign an injured player with a broke wheel? If they do, they may end up regretting it and I hope they do if they make this mistake!

Hope it's true and we get him signed then half the threads will go away but Dak haters will still have there half. Being a Cowboy fan since the 1960s and even before social media we saw the same thing about every quarterback Dallas has had heck even when we won Super Bowls. Pretty sure if Dak led us to 4 Super Bowls in a row, the haters would still want to get rid of him. Just the way it is.

The quitter thing is one thing.

What I dont get is that people that are so adamant about not bringing back Prescott cant truly enjoy any success that may lie ahead.

Its not as if its a debate as to which way the team is going to go on this.

I'll take a shot at Jerry any chance I get, but I'm a bit surprised how many people have already made up their mind on Prescott.

Good thing Denver didn't do that with Elway too soon.

No way Baptist Bob would ever say this unless he knows something with 100% certainty.
