Best available at 10?

Parsons for me. I think he's the best defensive player in the draft. Why would a team that desperately needs help on defense pass on the best defensive player in the entire draft?

If your projection is accurate, I have my doubts it goes down like that, but if it does I'm taking Slater, Farley, Surtain, Parsons in that order.
I think a few teams like SF, Minn, NE or even Mia would maybe want Parsons bad enough to move up for him.

Its a no brainer to me... Lets not pick a Mo Claiborne and pass up a Bobby Wagner..

I think it's a win win. It sounds like if Pitts falls he could be the guy and maybe they're right, I saw one write up say he's the definition of a mismatch, too tall for CBs and to good for LBs. I saw another that said in five years he may be the best player from this years draft. Otherwise we should get a good player or a good player and another day two pick.

I have been watching more videos of his games and he is clearly a mismatch at the college level. But to me he is not a TE, in the typical sense. He's like a big WR who has exceptionally quick first moves for a guy his size. There is no doubt in my mind that lining up a LB to cover him would be a big mistake for a defense. But even in college teams often lined up CBs against him. I am curious to see what kind of 40 times he runs. He would be a 1st down HR threat though if teams play the run against the Cowboys.

Why was Claiborne not a good pick? And I'm talking at the time of the draft. Claiborne was ranked the no. 1 or no. 2 cornerback available by the vast majority of draft people.

Did he "pan out"? No, due to injuries. But that's 20/20 hindsight, which is always correct....

Unless they're cutting or trading LVE Parsons isnt a realistic option. Jaylon isnt going anywhere

He scored a 4 on the Wonderlic?

This is just strictly BPA but Parsons and Slater are so close, have to hope Denver goes Parsons at 9.
Parsons
Slater
Farley
Surtain - can see him dropping a few spots.
Out of the top group either Pitts or 1 of the receivers has the best chance to slide to 10. Even if they don't a choice of Slater, Farley/Surtain, Parsons is very good.

Slater 1 Farley 2 Surtain 3 Parsons 4. I would not complain with the pick. The team would improve with any of these guys.

Got a trade back scenario for you. The Patriots just signed Cam for another year. If Lance is there at 10 the Patriots would be the perfect trade partner.
Those 4 are all quality players. If Slater, Farley/Surtain/Parsons are there, we will get a very good player. I think Pitts or a Wide Receiver might slide where either Slater or a corner goes before us.

I am thinking like you Slater is 6’4 and more then two teams in front of us need offensive tackles. If Farley runs low 4.3 I think he might get picked early too. I want to see how Pitts runs before I say he is a top 7 pick. D. Smith is small and Waddle just had a Dak injury. He did not look right in the Championship game. Of course Cavanaugh wants us to go 4 wide.:rolleyes:

I definitely look to the Patriots as an interesting trade partner. The thing that gives me pause is that It's an unusual year for them: they only have 9 picks instead of their usual 47 or so. Moving from 15-10 would cost no more than their 2nd, but they already don't have their regular 3rd round pick, and it's not very Belechick-like to leave himself with so few picks. Certainly a possible trade available and a team with a need though, depending on how the draft falls.

I'm high on both Slater, Farley, but you know this front office loves those wow offensive playmakers.

thats a good lookin' board if it falls that way.
im a slight lean to parsons but i like all 4 of those players and each one makes sense at 10.

We are guaranteed a good player. Think it will come down to Pitts, Slater or a corner.

Exactly..........don't get cute. Stay home and made the damn pick. In other words, I'm NOT trading down, especially with four additional comps in my pocket.
