Cowboys have many problems that have not been addressed. Fix It:
  1. Contact Dolphins and Tennessee and send a 6th round pick Dolphins to and 7th round to Titans for the rights to Isaiah Wilson, OL. Joe Philbin is an excellent OL coach and Wilson is an A+ athlete at OG/OT.
  2. Sign Ndamukong Suh DT, team him up with your young DTs and you improve immediately.
  3. Sign Alvin "Bud" Dupree DE/OLB
  4. Malik Hooker S (1 year deal)
  5. Sign Eric Reid, FS/SS his 4.50 speed, Safety flex. Had a year off with new perspective. Was a locker room leader in Carolina and SF. Only true freshman to start at LSU (with Petersen, Claiborne, and the Honey Badger).
  6. Sign Trai Turner OG. Lets just get Connor Williams out of the starting line up and move on.
If you really look at the players, no one except for Turner and Dupree will you have teams knocking down the door down to sign them. However, all are A plus athletes at their positions.

Trade Galloway for 2022 1st round pick. If no takers keep him and trade him during the season when teams will be looking for WRs. This draft (2021) is too risking to trade a proven starter.

Use all the draft picks in the draft as it will be a crap shot. The best available player in every round will play defense. Unless those OT are on the board at no. 10, move down and collect raffle picks. If you can get a young starters that can play on the last year of their rookie deals with teams moving on, make the trade with these picks. We should have done this for Minkah Fitzpatrick.

This is the draft you find the team that is dumping 3-4 year defensive players not wanting to pay them.

Gallup?
No one is giving a 1st for Gallup. I don't think even a 2nd. I'll take a 3rd and like it. More optimistically, PFF wrote of a scenario of Miami giving us their 3rd and 4th.

Maybe Gallup brings us a 4th round comp pick, meaning *bottom* of the 4th. That's the ground floor from which to judge a trade for our one remaining year of Gallup.

1) Wilson can be had for that cheap for a reason. A strong OL coach isn’t his issue. I’d have no problems with the move but you can’t count on the player for 2021. Huge maturity issues.

2) if the money is there sure. I’m skeptical he comes cheap enough for Dallas though.

3)a lot of red flags on Dupree. Injury issues, and he wasnt the guy that teams paid attention to. Watt was drawing the double teams. I’d rather roll with Gregory and avoid the huge contract.

4) I’d love to land hooker. Good buy low candidate.

5) while I’m open to the idea of Reid I’m fine without him. With our lack of talent/depth at cb we may really need two safety’s with cover skills. Reid is a better S against the run than the pass.

6) maybe turners issues were just because of injury last year, but he was among the worst at his position in 2020. Connor Williams is so underrated around here. This feel like a downgrade. I’d probably rather Williams/McGovern battle it out in camp. Hate it.

this plan feels like a sideways move for the cowboys. A significant improvement at DT, a couple lottery tickets in hooker/Wilson , and a ton of meh after that.

If I’m the Cowboys I’m absolutely kicking the tires on Malik Hooker. Yes there is an injury history there but if he checks out fine with doctors, you can get him at an affordable price with major upside.

It’s quite simple.

Land at DT, LB, CB and FS in free agency or the draft and we will make noise this season

Um, they haven't been fixed yet because we haven't had the opportunity to sign free agents or draft yet.

Not trading picks for a soft guy who is gonna wash out of the league. Chances are we just go with what we have on the OL and maybe draft one.

Hooker is everybody's boom or bust guy, but it is the same kind of move we have been making for years that hasn't worked.

Dallas isn't ever signing a kneeler, much less one of the main guys of that movement.

Suh might be a good move, he still can be an irrestible force in the middle.

Dupree is coming off an injury that typically takes a full year to get back.

exactly

even the plan to sign Suh is not good. He’s a head case who got his ring and will now be looking for a payday

Cowboys have lots of needs, not much cap space and an inconsistent draft. Unless we hit on 4 starters in the draft we won't come close to filling all the holes.

SUH@!@@@ really....he needs to be a rotational guy, surronded by a bunch of talent and a sueprbowl ready team. he ain't improving anyone and he is towards the end of his career. lets stop making this old, over the hill, multiple team players into something they are not...I rather take a chance on a rookie, than bring Suh in.

why sign Malik Hooker...to a one year deal? makes no sense.

How many guards do you want to sign? how much money do we want to spend on Guards...no team makes it to the superbowl because they have the greatest guards in the league.....

I rather, keep all our draft picks. stay young. evaluate what we have and then figure out what we need to do in 2022, FA and Draft.....bringing in a bunch of older players, will only keep the young players from playing and getting properly evaluated....none of those guys are difference makers...these defensive players will get this defense from bottom feeding to almost bottom feeding.
