Interesting article arguing a case for Kyle Pitts, TE, FL at no. 10 in the NFL Draft to the Cowboys.

I like Parsons, LB, Penn St. When you see a Penn St. LB were no. 11, he is an NFL top prospect and defensive game changer. Beside the fact he is a football play maker, his 4.39 40yd time and 6.89 cone drill makes him a gifted football playmaker in the rarity of Demarcus Ware who is just 1 inch taller and 5 pounds heavier than Parsons. Demarcus had a 6.83 cone drill but ran a 4.53 40yd time.

But Pitts is rare Megatron, Randy Moss type skills and is a football play maker like Parsons. If Parsons and Surtain are gone, you do have a case to draft Pitts as the Best Available Player of Need. Trust me Schultz, and Jarwin combined will not be half of Pitts. Pitts is really that good. In today's NFL, the TE is the 2nd or 3rd WR. Elliotts running lanes will open wide with Pitts on the field as the opposing LB and S will be focused on Pitts.

However with both on the board, I would draft Parsons over Pitts. Even with Pitts athletic prowess, Parsons shows the skills to put his hand in on the ground (played DE in 4-3 in high school), stand up play MLB, OLB, and drop in coverage to SS. Pitts may win a couple of plays, but Parson could literally smash Pitts into the turf and that will be the only couple of plays Pitts will make that day.

Linebackers don’t change bad defenses to good.

Get Pitts and let’s score 40pts a game

I don’t think we have to worry. Pitts will be gone by pick 7 IMO. Then it comes down to if surtain or horn or parsons. I’m a parsons fan so he’s my top. And honestly he maybe in Quinn’s top as well. Who knows.

Heard the same about Eric Ebron and OJ Howard most recently. But yes if Parsons and Surtain are gone and he's there have to consider him or trade down. Only 2 defensive players worth that pick then there are a couple of defensive guys in the middle of the first round to late teens you could justify in a trade down scenario.

I'd be curious to know how Pitts stacks up against the other 99 percentile TE prospects from the last decade. I'd be happy to get any of Surtain, Pitts or Parsons, maybe even Horn.

Cowboys went 2-3 scoring +35 points per game before Dak went down. How about stopping teams from scoring 35-40 points per game.

Landry and Jimmy Johnson use to say if we hold opponents under 17-20 points per game, we will win it.

So get the players on defense that can make that happen.

If he’s there you almost got to take him . I want Parsons we can get a corner or safety in round 2.but I’d take Pitts in a minute and I’d take Sewell in a minute

You just have a difference of opinion from a lot of folks, which is fine. We all have our own opinion. I think Pitts is higher on most people's boards than Sertain or Parsons, which is why most people would draft Pitts first.
