Just bring on the draft; speculation is boring

The draft Is boring oand for sure something not to be watched. But I get what you mean it's important but never understood the time wasted on mocks and such.

I am with ya, ready for the draft.
Usually this time we are getting the schedule release and leaks. As it takes up some time for that, and the actual schedule discussions. However, seeing how they released it in May last year. And with the 17th game added. I bet it will be mid May before it will be released.

Which sucks, because they will probably make it the regular time frame.
All I seen so far is the season will begin September 9th, end January 9th, and the SB will be February 13th.

Man you hit the nail on the head. I don’t pay attention to all the mock drafts here. I don’t get the infatuation with them. Like we know who the good players are or not. The best thing about the draft is that soon after rookie mini-camps, then OTA’s then mini-camps all begin one after the other. Next thing you know, training camp will open.

I love the lead up to the draft. The worst part of the off season is June and July.

That’s one of the better parts of the off season. OTA’s and mini-camps.

This isn't the most boring part of the NFL calendar. The most boring part is the stretch between the last mini camp and the start of training camp. There's nothing going on then.

I did a search earlier, and they said thur april 15 or 22nd. but also saw something about mid may lol.

i think the NFL has needed to move the draft to a much earlier date i mean does FA and the draft need to be so far apart.in some ways i wished the draft was first and easier to fill FA holes post draft..the insane mocks ad speculations and debates just spin far out of control IMO..the real people responsible for picking draft pick etc also go thought the constant overthinking and change their minds all the way to the draft..they dont need this much time to evaluate..

Constantly relying on rookies as your upgrade from the previous season will never get you anywhere.

Always wondered about that, is that a move by the NFLPA to ensure better salaries for the players? The timeline does seem like it should be flipped to benefit the teams.

I can’t wait for the “name brand” guys such as McNeil, Moehrig, Grant, and Nixon to go to other teams while we draft the names that aren’t household as much. We tend to do that a lot and take positions that make you scratch your head.
