Attention, Dak fans. If you really admire Dak, this is what he needs

upgrade the pass rush and get some ballhawks to get the offense more posesdions. Start looking at OL at 75 or 99, there are some good OL players this year.

Yes, Slater is trash. What was I thinking, chap!
Go back to sleep.
Didn’t say he was trash
Said many see him as a guard which doesn’t really sound like a LT I want to spend a top 10 pick on
If you want a tackle, take Sewell

Dalton got his arse whooped against average and good teams, like AZ, Ravens, WFT. he beat three teams, who had their back up QBs, with defense handing him the ball 9 times and scoring for him once. last game of the season against a 5 win team he shiet his pants....are you serious about Dalton? man, perhaps you should become a bears fan given your love of Dalton.

p.s. Dak played 1.5 games with Smith and the rest was same patch work OL, except less experienced. Dalton benefited once the OL played together for a few games and got some experience.

Lol your clueless if you really believe a QB in his 1st year here with zero off-season benefited from the crap we had at OL at any point last year. Was he benefitting when they pulled steel a few plays into the game? There was no continuity with these guys. The only linemen playing all 16 was williams. I give dalton a bit of a pass as we had to take down field plays off the table, the tackles couldn't block long enough to use them. Last time dak has 1 bad tackle he was one of the worst QB's in the league even with zeke rushing for way

really wilson has some really nice weapons to work with. good OL and good running game. since he lost the defense that helped him make the superbowl run he has been underwhelming for a guy you keep touting so much. he is 1-3 in the playoffs the past 5 years.

Watson had some nice weapons and didn't produce. then last year he went 4-12. if you go 4-12 you are part of the problem, no matter how you cut it...now he apprantley harrassed 22 women. nice role model for his teammates and community. yes, character matters.

you don't sound like a cowboys fan....

right as a real DC Fan i see the truth, lets stop coddling dak, all that money is on the offensive side the new "dak friendly " offense is producing nothing but hollow yards or late scores that are too little too late.. we need defense the reply was just that, time to spend money and draft picks on defense and rebuild, let the 40 million dollar man ern his keep as the 2nd highest paid PLAYER in the league, its time to out up or shut up..he will lose weapons and im betting we will find out what dak is, remember the 2018 start to the season before they got cooper, well lets hope dak can overcome having less weapons' as in a few years he wont have as many..

that real fans perspective ..period..

read my post most are Close to rockports typically more of sliver lining guy but Dak getting that deal was mistake 35 maybe 40-42 is way outside his pay scale..

sorry if that offends you but the fats are facts he isnt close to being the second best player let alone second best qb in the league so his new deal will be an anchor to this team IF he doesnt step up his game..not yards, actual more tds more tds in the redzone, extending drives when it matters.. EX 2019 last 5-6 games..he didnt get it done, its known fact that in crunch time against better teams in big moments far too many stalled drives, GTIOs, or 3 and outs come form the offense..blame the defnse all you want, Dak will now have to prove he can take that to the next level..

i dd see mr Wilson overcome a lot f those warts to at least have his team in the playoffs once again.. how many years is that with questionable OL, avg RBs, and a very suspect defense now??

thats the point be the man when the rest of the team isnt getting it done..

Wilson might disagree on the good oline part
He was near the top of the leave in sacks
He does have some nice receivers

Dak needs OL Slater with the 10th pick

OR

TE Pitts (even if Jerry has to surrender his 3rd Round pick to move up in a swap of No. 5 for No. 10)

Don't like this scenario? Why?
A Slater could protect Dak from his blind side. A Pitts could make Dak look like a top 10 QB (which he isn't).

So, which is it, Dak chaps?
FA has addressed some FA needs on defence and picks in the 2nd and 4th rounds could help the D further. (And don't be fooled. One high pick for the D is NOT going to totally fix the defence.)

Holla, and brings me a dollah!
Have to believe if Pitts or Sewell is there at 10 then either of them will be the pick, if not then most likely Surtain or Horn or as a wildcard Jeremiah Owusu Koramoah who can play LB or S. Trading up might be a great idea in the 2nd round but if you think Atlanta or Cincy or Miami are going to move down for just a 3rd then you are living in a fantasy world, heck Denver would probably demand more just to move down one spot. The least it would cost to move up to 4 or 5 or 6 would be our 2nd and most likely a pick in 2022.

Depending on what happens in first 9, we might see Dallas take a small trade down. Chargers apparently really want Sewell and made it known they will pay to get him if he falls past 6 spot, something like their 1st (13) and 2nd (47). That could be an interesting decision.

Don’t recall Dak ever being on of the worst in the league
Do agree on Dalton
He had no chance back there

Go back and watch our offense with cheesy green starting. Wasn't Daks fault he had zero chance with a defensive player in his face every snap...but we were horrible offensively.

The 2nd highest paid QB ever shouldn't need THIS much help to succeed.

He has 3 REALLY good receivers, a decent enough O-line when healthy, decent to good TEs, and a good RB when he wants to be.

He has WAY more help then 95% of the QBs in the league. It's his own fault that he plays terrible against good defenses.

I like those guys but frankly I think what Dak needs and this team needs is a defense who can put the ball back into the hands of the offense. A Defense who can hold the lead late in games. I like Slater and Pitts but biggest help for all concerned is a Defense showing up on game day and helping this team win games. Dak is not a statue back there he is able to move, our TE play along with our 3 WR are a very good combo right now. Expecting to win games by being forced to score 30 or more is ridicules and has to change

Elitte quarterbacks are not supposed to need anything. It's the other players who are supposed to need him.

I give Dalton ZERO leash. he is a 10 year NFL veteran. get your shiet together. they dumbed down the offense for him and he was still dumber.....and the last pass he threw against the giants, just sums it up. a 10 year veteran. with game on the line, two plays to get to the end zone.... scrambling to his left shouldn't throw a stupid, stupid stupid duck, ill advised pass like he did between three, four, or five defenders....so what was his excuse against the giants? the most important game of the year, must win and he CHOKED like he always does...

you want to give Dalton a pass, you must be setting the bar very low.....Dalton should retire and perhaps after this year he will. he is done!

I think they simplified things not because he was not intelligent, they simplified things because they knew he would not little time in the pocket. During one of the games this past season they showed how quickly he was getting the ball out but in large part because he had no time. We had a 3rd string OT on one end, a back up on the other end and even Martin was playing injured and ended up missing time forcing the Cowboys to go 2nd string at his spot. Same for Looney spot.

A 40 million dollar QB that needs 10 elite players to win. What a bargain. Yeah ok.

That’s every elite QB ever. What elite QB won without elite talent around him? Staubach had it, Aikman had it, Elway had it, Young had it, Brady had lots of it, Peyton had lots of it, Mahomes has lots of it.

Dak is paid to lead the great talent, not to be the entire football team by himself

No, no, no!

Early round picks should be used for Defense.

The Cowboys can go after OT James Hudson either in the 3rd or early 4th rounds. He's good enough to back up either O-Tackle positions.

O-Tackle James Hudson: 6'5", 310 lbs.

-or-

The Cowboys can go another route...

If OT James Hudson is taken but OG Quinn Meinerz is available, Cowboys should get him either in the 3rd or early 4th rounds...

They could plug in O-Guard Quinn Meinerz at Left Guard and move Connor Williams to Left Tackle where he naturally played in college while at Texas. Quinn Meinerz is good enough to start at Left Guard if need be. Check him out...

O-Guard Quinn Meinerz: 6'3.5", 325 lbs.

I like both in rounds 3-4.

Wilson also holds onto the ball for long periods of time. That's his game. Hard on the OLine and always leads to more sacks.

Yeah. That's about it and we want Dak to be up there on his level.
Nobody is on Brady's level and probably nobody ever will be.

I will not be surprised if Mahomes ends his career with one SB.

I couldn’t agree more!

Sounds just like Dak the year before vs the iggles. Game on the line and choke. Our bar is low, we signed an average QB to 160 million guaranteed basically, for the same thing we got out of Dalton for 8 million. Same results.
