NFL Rumors: Cowboys, Eagles, Giants, Washington

Don’t trust Philly. Roseman is a snake so he could be floating that they want to move for a CB to make us move and waste picks.

If they want to trade away picks they desperately need to restock their roster to go chase a CB inside the Top 10, have fun.

Big fan of McDuffie. He would be a great 4th round pick if he gets to one of our picks.

So glad to keep hearing the Cowboys connected to linebackers. Tells me at least they recognize it’s an obvious issue.

This is the way a linebacker needs attack the run. Jaylon would be hand fighting blockers waiting for the RB to run past him and then turn in pursuit.

I’ve got zero issues them jumping us for a corner. I’m fine with either Horn or Surtain. Let them shoot themselves in their foot trying to rebuild their team.

I would be both surprised and not surprised (if that makes any sense). The Eagles traded down from #6 to get additional draft ammo and now want to give up draft ammo to move back up? And for a cornerback when one of Surtain or Horn is likely there at #12 anyway?

I can see them wanting revenge for Lamb last year but I have doubts that they would actually do it.

Roseman I believe will try to jump us, after last year's gong show in Philadelphia where fans called for his head because he didn't trade in front of us from Ceedee Lamb and they settled for Raegor who was a huge let down, he will be extra aggressive this year imo...

Honestly, I'm not sure their top target is CB. I've read more than a couple of tweets they'd love to get one of the top three WRs ( Waddle is a name mentioned a couple of times)

But I'm starting we could see the top three receivers and Pitts come off the board immediately after the 49ers pick. In other words, picks 1-3 QBs and 4,5,6 and 7 TE and WRs. That would leave Sewell, Slater, Horn, Parson, and Surtain left.

If I’m the Eagles the only position I’m moving up in the draft for is QB.

There is no way (IMO) that Hurts is there next franchise QB.

They have the draft ammo in next year's draft to make a move this year if they want. Plus, seems like the 2022 QB class is in some flux with no clear cut #1 like Lawrence was this year.

One thing about the guys we are linked too, at least rumors from the coaching side of things, is these smaller, quicker LBs. McDuffie is a bit of a thumper but he's also like 6-2, 225. They are moving Neal to WLB. Could this be Quinn's influence?

It would be interesting to see if we traded back in the draft and had a choice between JOK and Collins. Who would Quinn prefer?

No kidding. It took about 3 games for teams to figure him out.

There's no way Philly trade up for a CB. But if they do, they're idiots

I can see the Eagles trading up for a CB. It fits for them. It is a stupid strategy to trade up to screw Dallas for 2 reasons. 1) Dallas is not their only competition in the division. and 2) their are other NFC teams they have to beat to get tot he Super Bowl. Also, the Eagles have other problems, starting with QB.

If the Eagles trade up to take Surtain, they might be doing Dallas a favor. Horn may be the better CB, or the Cowboys can trade down for another 2nd round pick.

I don't know about the team, but their fanbase is bizarrely obsessed with this whole competition within the draft. They still pat themselves on the back for their jump over us to take Goeddert. They still think we purposely took Lamb to stick it to them (we didn't, we simply took the best player on the board).

It's weird. If Howie Roseman, who hasn't been all that good at drafting recently, wants to play games in the draft and move around in order to "stick" it to the other NFCE teams, have at it.

We have met multiple times with alot of guys that we will likely not draft. Smokescreen season is real.We wont know until we are making the pick at 10 and 44. No one knows.

The one hit wonder song Rumors by Timex Social Club kept going through my head when I was reading this.

I’d like this pick day 3. Solid player and if they feel LVE and Smith can bounce back, let’s not overdraft a 3rd linebacker

Looks productive. I think

I agree. You have to think that it is likely our division counterparts will pick solid players with their first round picks. I would be thrilled if the Eagles traded up for a CB or took a WR with their first round pick. If they took a WR, even a good one, after taking a WR in the first last year (which appears to be a mistake on the player they took and the one they passed), all the better. That would mean they have taken two WR in the first rounds in back to back years while not having a franchise QB. Great.

The Eagles are a mess. The more interesting teams are the Giants and Commanders. Both appear to be developing solid rosters. If either finds their QB, then they go to a new level. I don't see the Giants taking a QB, nor do I see Washington moving up for one, but I will be interested to see if they continue to make smart moves.
