Maybe but remember before the 49ers rumor nobody thought Jones was a first round QB.. Since they didn't take him it may have validated the consensus view on him. He might be available in round two which means nobody is going to be trying to move up for him. Likewise the "he's lazy" rumors about Fields seems to be working too so the GM who floated that rumor is probably licking his chops to pick him..

There is no way he makes it past 15 if the Patriots are on the board. It just will not happen.

I'm glad they signed Dak. He is a proven franchise QB and the team isn't rebuilding. If it was a rebuild then yea I agree, draft Fields and let Dak walk.
