Catch... you keep bringing this up. Like a ton of your posts, but for the life of me I do not understand why you believe a 4.4 guy that has fluid hips and has proven athletic ability will be unable handle coverage from time to time.
Do I isolate him on guys like Tyreek Hill? Of course not. Could he hang with Kelce? I think he can. He also has a sense and sees plays well. Sniffs out screens and misdirection.
I bet by game 8 you will be a big fan.
His hip fluidity and lateral change of direction are actually two of his weaknesses. He's explosive and quick downhill, but his COD leaves something to be desired. He also has very little experience dropping back. As a former DE, this means he probably lacks real instincts or feel for the passing game. If the Cowboys ask him to cover, not only are they negating his strengths, but they're not going to see much better production than Jaylon. At least not for the near future.
Lots of crazy good athletes can't cover for squat. Taylor Mays comes to mind right off the bat.
