It "football move" three steps and a dive to the endzone is a lot of football moves.

Again, y'all keep trying to legislate for rules that apply for a receiver that makes a catch upright, not when he's going to the ground. Back then, the GTTG rule took precedence over the upright catch rules when it came to the time aspect and "surviving the ground" was the decider there. The rule change took away that precedence and now they say you can establish "time" on the way to the ground too (with 3 steps, etc.).

We're not winning that game even if Dez scores. We couldn't stop a one-legged Aaron Rodgers all game long.
And the Packers would have had enough time anyway.
We lost the game when DeMarco Murray fumbled. We needed to put as much distance between ourselves and the Packers.
That score would have given us a great cushion to build upon. But Murray blew it.
Critics had noted how he precariously held on to the football, and, finally, it came back to bite us.
By that time, Rodgers finally got on a hot streak with his passing, and we couldn't stop him. :(

They changed it just in time for the Eagles to score a TD in the Super Bowl:facepalm:

If you're referring to the play with Ertz in the Super Bowl, that was different entirely. Ertz was already an established runner so he was "upright" as I keep saying. Therefore he could lunge (a proper one, mind you), lose the ball upon impact and it's still a score because as an upright runner, he only needed to break the plane of the goal line to score just like a RB whon is also upright.

All your posts are terrible on this subject. You need to know this. . . but if it helps you to cope with it go ahead keep lying to yourself and keep justifying the worse call in sports

My posts are terrible because you don't understand them. As I've said, most of you are trying to argue rules you don't even have the slightest grasp of (see above for you). This is also the reason the NFL changed the rule because your average fan (very average in your case) needs the black and white rules dumbed down to a 1-part flow chart to help with assessment when their emotions are on overload. Notice how none of you seek to learn and instead just continue to demonstrate, "But I wanted, I wanted, I wanted" rants while others create foolish conspiracy theories to keep from accepting reality. Can't get your way, create a boogeyman that says you really didn't lose. 9 year olds have better imaginations.

I don’t think Rodgers was banged up that game. The one legged Rodgers was the home playoff game Byron Jones cost us.

I could be wrong and he could always be hurt lol

Rogers always feels the need to have the built in excuse of being "hurt". It really is pathetic for someone so talented to feel the need to behave that way.

Took 3 steps and dove for the endzone. Multiple football moves.

Here's a better one. Same play, but with a happy ending (... that's what Robert Kraft said).

random but what game is this from? I have a vivid memory on all of Dez’s TD’s and this had to have been pre season

thanks for reminding me and making me as mad as it was yesterday. The act of the catch was already made he secured it then dove

it literally changed the legacy of witten, dez and romo...and even garret potentially at least getting a chance in a NFCCG appearance..
Just as outrageous was the second playoff game against the Packers - the officials not calling their Oline for holding on that last drive...allowing that long pass completion to get them in field goal range.

Yes, exactly. This was preseason the very same year so Romo and Dez had done it in a game previously. If Romo led Dez just a little more, Dez would have been in the end zone already and would only have needed to secure the ball, which he probably would have done. Have to make that catch anywhere on the field though. Can't blame him too much for trying to score but he probably didn't anticipate the good challenge and contact from the DB Shields and it cost him.

7 years later......catch or no catch? Looking back, that game/loss stayed with me for a while. There was no doubt in my mind, beat the Packers, we're going to the Super Bowl. Still believe it.......

Sometimes when I'm feeling good and I need a downer I watch that video clip.

What are you going on about . . this is a discussion of a Live event that I witnessed . . . This event is billed as a Competition based on the performance of the athletes . . . beat the man in front of you.

When that challenge flag was thrown, I laughed it off and got up to get a beer . . . a few moments later I was shocked and stunned. . . after years of missing out on the playoffs this felt like our year only to lose that way on what was one of the gutsiest calls and plays I have ever scene took the love out of me.

You call it "Conspiracy Theories" and then you Bash us . . . Just to reenforce the BS narrative the League put out to justify that nonsense. . . I use to invest a lot into this team a genuine love affair . . . since then not so much . . . this team will always occupy a small part in my heart (Why I am here)

But I will mot be purchasing a jersey for my pets any more Thats for sure.

(Disclaimer: I have been an avid researcher for over 16 years now in all of History everywhere . . . Everything is connected and its all about the Money and aint a damn thing funny)

My "Conspiracy" is this and its an old gripe. . . . its all fixed there is a reason Americas Team are always 8-8 because the resutvof the game is not determined until after the last bet is made . . . and they bey all game long . . . Have you ever watched the money line. . . its like watching the stock market

Its all Drama

I meant as in his last chance with him being healthy. 2016 he was done.
Why do you and others continue to Parrot this lie . . in 2016 He was healthy and in fact asked for and was denied an open competition in 2017 . . .

This is an opinion that is alaways claimed as a fact which makes it a lie.

A lie that was told then by Media pundits and Fans who favored Dak as QB . . . This excuse was the reason all those who jumped ship and went all in on Dak. . . Stay with the Momentum excuse but dont continue with that lie. . . . its a lie thats been told so many times and at this point it is something you Dak Fans cling to . . .

You have to because you know a healthy Romo is leaps and bounds better then Dak and staying with Dak is Moronic and illogical

Playing Romo would have made the team better which cant be argued. . . so you cling to injured.

The lies people tell themselves to justify stupid decisions:rolleyes:

it was a magical year that the refs stole from us. PERIOD summed up, wrap it with a bow. We were unstoppable on the ground and had a great air attack. The defense was average at best.

If the defense was average at best in the 2nd half of that game, we easily win. But they were god awful. A one legged Rodgers made them look silly. I remember there was a 3rd and 20 they converted for a TD. Back to back 80yd TD drives.

This is why this play does not bother me at all. This defense was not stopping Green Bay to win that game. They had 2 or 3 chances to get Green Bay off the field after that call but didn't. The defense was horrendous.
