After watching last nights loss to the Cardinals...I came away convinced we are the team to beat in the NFC.

Why?

Defensive pressure....

If teams are gonna live in the spread/shotgun offense...and we rush 5 or 6 guys like we did all night long last night....

We are gonna be a hand full to deal with.

And to think we didn't even have our starters going....

Seriously....I'm buying in now.

If you look @ this team...the majority of our guys are hitting their prime....right now.

Breaking down position by position...we have as much talent as anyone in the league.

The only thing I see keeping us from getting to the top is bad coaching and/or injury.

Injuries happen...

But right now...on the coaching front....Kellen has the weapons....and I think we have enough depth on the O-line to keep things from happening like they did last season....

Defensively....Adding Dan Quinn's aggressiveness is gonna be huge.

It looks like getting after the QB isn't just going to be lip service this year. We got some dudes this year...

And we haven't even seen D-Law and Gregory yet....

It just feels like we are so much deeper on defense than years past....and we are finally phasing out the guys that teams used to target....

Anthony Brown
Jaylon
Lee
Crawford
Thompson

Still a little worried about special teams....if we can find someone to return kicks...and if Zuerlein will be healthy....but for now....I'm buying into what direction we are headed as a team.

It's been a long time since I could say with confidence...I feel like we can compete with anybody...and mean it.

I just feel like our time is now...and for whatever comes our way Jerry needs to push all in to make it happen now. If injuries hit...so be it....push through it. Make the moves necessary to go all the way. We have the talent now...now all we need is the commitment to see it through...

i like what i'm seeing on defense.
this group under quinn looks faster and seems more competent and confident in what they are being asked to do.
its up to them to make the plays...but i like what i've seen.

If the defense is as good as I think it might be, it could be a very fun season. Pressure on the QB will be key and if Gregory can finally give Dallas some return on investment, Lawrence can get back to form and Parsons can bring the heat like I know he can… then things will get uncomfortable for opposing QB’s.

For them to do that, they’ll need the DB’s to cover long enough for them to get home. And maybe Dallas has the guys to do it. I actually like most of the guys in the secondary and I think Dallas has done a good job of re-vamping the back end.

it is going to be interesting, indeed.

I'm not thinking SB yet, but I do like the improvements in our defense. I'm optimistic for this year.

I don't see how teams stop our pass rush if we are committed to rushing 5 or 6 guys....and our CBs are sitting on routes...

That double A gap blitz....hell good luck stopping that....:omg::laugh:

LDE- D-Law
LDT- Odighizuwa

LB-Parsons
LB-Neal (spy) /Anea (rush)

RDT-Carter
RDE-Gregory

There are so many things we can do w/ the personnel we have. I just know if we stay aggressive throughout the year...we are gonna win more match ups than we lose. In the past....it sure seemed like we would get burned....blitzing and we would back out of it.....to never see it again. Not getting that sense @ all this year. We bring 6...and they pick it up....by god...we will bring 7.....we are getting to your QB come hell or high water.....and I like it. ;)

That’s one take . Another is they will struggle to be a .500 since the roster after the first 8 or 9 players simply sucks .

So your saying about a 1/3rd of our starters suck? Lol Okay, man.

This team was about .500 last year with no QB, no offensive line, starting TE gone, new head coach, terrible defensive coordinator who installed a complicated scheme with no pre-season games with hardly any time to teach it because of Covid restrictions. That's just crazy to think they'll struggle to be a .500 team again.

Im in.
I see development and a step forward with Armstrong, Carter, Anae,, still looking for Golstons name, got a couple to go before it gets real.
Just saying that we have some possible designated PRs stepping up at the right time, and its going to be hard to make a cut there, Quinn loves those guys, guaranteed value to this defense, and all fit the profile that he needs.
Wouldnt surprise me if Golston is being hidden on purpose and stashed on PS.
