I think the Eagles sat a ton of top players. The Pats played most of theirs.
The Philly starting QB didn't even play a snap, so it wasn't a dress rehearsal.

Patriots can win the super bowl . Again . That organization under Beliceck is at a different level . Talent , discipline , tactics, single unified chain of command . Their defense and offense is so talented. Stevenson is a beast and they have Sony Michel as well . They have two solid QBs . I wish the cowboys would have such a team management,. 30 playoff appearances since 2000 compared to 3-4 for the cowboys. Plus 6 super bowls .

I bet many teams will do the exact same thing this weekend. Teams got rid of that extra preseason game for a reason. This is suppose to be the new dress rehearsal game and it's no better than the first preseason game when it was four games.

Never thought they were... they will bring up the rear. But NFCE games are always tough no matter what the records are. And having to play in the NE in December doesn't help any.

They’ve got all that you’ve stated except a top level QB. Newton’s good but not good enough IMHO.

There were going to play Hurts but he got sick before the game. He was on the field for warmups and they made the decision to pull a few minutes before kickoff.
