Amari Cooper is the best Dallas Cowboys WR these last two decades

Lamb is better

Cooper pulled today what he often pulls. A disappearing act. Not sure the issue with him. He also will get ticky tak injuries that hold him back.

Lamb is the new #1 and will be the consistent weapon in the passing game.

Five targets, three catches. This wasn't a breakout game for any of our pass catchers.

Amari is like my man Tim Duncan, he isn't flashy so his consistency goes under appreciated, his dominance doesn't show until you tally the stats. Better for us than TO, for sure.

There is not a WR that I would rather have over Cooper. Not only is he a true WR1, he is making our defensive backs better by going against him every week.

Dez years with Romo at the helm was vastly better than the TO years IMO
Dez played with the better version of Romo.
I love Dez infinity more than I can stomach TO but come on there’s probably on the field that Dez can do comparable at the position better than TO.
Not faster, not quicker, not more athletic, not a better route runner. Not be in the slot, not more explosive. Not a better blocker, not even Louder.

Maybe Dez had more reliable hands

He was definitely more athletic, especially by the time TO got here, what separated Dez was the fact he was a athletic mismatch for any defender. Maybe you should go look at a YouTube highlight of Dez's top plays he was a threat to turn any play to a touchdown.

Pre-hamstrings Miles Austin was pretty damn good folks... He had a two year stretch when you could legitimately argue he was the best receiver in the game. Especially when it came to run after the catch. It was a damn shame that he got taken down by injuries so quickly because I thought he and Dez were poised to take over the league..

I thought he landed on the ball.. which I can attest hurts like hell.. Probably knocked the air out of him.
That's what I figured too, but they went to commercial and I didn't hear anything when they came back.

I would take 2012 to 2014 Dez over any other receiver we've had the last decade. But Cooper can certainly surpass with a couple more seasons from a longevity and consistency standpoint. Dez's peak though was dominant.

I want Cooper's mind and route-running in Dez's body.

Since Dez's name has came up, funny scenario last weekend. Besides of being one of my favorite players in recent Cowboy history, I also share the same last name as well. When he got let go I bought a bunch of youth clearance jerseys for my grandsons, well they wore them to Sea world last weekend. Of course a few people commented and asked were they Dez Bryant fans, I told the oldest next time someone ask look confused and reply Who? This an Antonio Bryant jersey, the blank expressions were priceless, to my grandson's credit he was extremely convincing

Might have looked better for Coop if Dak has spotted him for a TD when he broke far away from the corner. Instead, Dak threw to the tight end. Not blaming Prescott because that was probably considered the right read on that play, but Cooper would have been the better throw. The fact that the pass wasn't thrown to him just shows that stats can be misleading. He would have gone from 3 for 24 to 4 for 60-plus and a TD. He also should have drawn pass interference on fourth down to give us a new set of downs.
