I think Aikman's comment was more about the entire Cowboys teams Romo was on, but he certainly left the door open for somebody to take it in this context.

Of course Aikman also said "credit Jason Garrett" for bringing in Dan Quinn, so........

He’s not yet, but he’s very close.

2014 Romo was legitimately great. Prescott is playing just as good right now.
Dak is literally better in almost every aspect. The only thing Romo had on him was pulling the occasional crazy play outta nowhere. Romo was great too, but he wasn't nearly as good as Dak.

Aikman also said he saw Jaylon Smith get in a for few plays for the Packers today, Smith was inactive. Troy must have been feeling the after affects of his concussions today.
I thought the dodo bird said that, no?

I really couldn't tell, but thought Buck said that.

idk

Dak’s on pace for about 50 touchdowns and the highest passer rating of all time in a single season...
And we’ve faced 4 of the top 10 NFL defenses already :omg:

Tony reminded me of Andy Dalton with better legs

I loved Romo, but Dak is the leader that Romo never did become.

Romo had “his guys”. Everyone respects and connects with Dak.

Dak is a leader of men, and he’s playing as efficiently as Romo ever did.

Agree with this.
As a thrower, Dak isn’t close to Romo. As a winning QB…different story

That is… incorrect.

Prescott is more accurate? Has a stronger arm? Throws better in tight windows?

Romo was a better passer but Dak's now become better QB. There is more to being a QB than just passing the ball.
The guy's mental toughness is off the charts.
Romo can’t make that throw to Cee Dee today.

How many times did Dez twist in mid air to catch deep balls?

Dak is Aikman’s predecessor. Romo was a fish outta water as far as traditionally great Dallas QBs are concerned. He had some obscene obsession with emulating Favre and being terrible at it.

Dak is Aikman's "successor." Aikman was Dak's "predecessor."

Troy was also clear that the thing that impressed him the most about Dak was his leadership qualities which are clearly superior to Romo's.

Romo a lot of times was just dragging the team to wins. Prescott elevates the players around him.

Troy really values that quality.

Romo is a tier or two below Dak in pocket passing.

Dak ranks bottom 5 in rushing yards this season. He’s a pure pocket passer. That’s why he has the highest passer rating in the league my guy.
