Human emotions are fickle things.

After the first 5 weeks, I was feeling very bullish about Dallas this season. After the win yesterday most seem to be praising Dallas for a gritty, come from behind, overcome adversity, beat the GOAT coach performance that ended decades of losses to the Pats.

This is all true.

But man, it should not be this hard. Dallas' offense stats are impressive. But some things really scratch at me from this weeks performance because while the gritty win might seem "different" (it actually reminds me a lot of the win in Pittsburgh in 2016) there are some things that seem all too familiar to many other years in our 25 year old drought.

1. We can't Qb sneak the ball. I'd like some stats on this, but it seems Dallas is the only team in the last 30 years who is pretty awfully ineffective at QB sneaks. We were terrible yesterday at this. Big strong QB, terrible at sneaks. I have no idea why. No idea.

2. Picking up 1 yard when necessary. We have perhaps the second most punishing back in the league (Henry?). Why can we not line up and pound it for a yard? We were terrible at this!

3. Linebackers. Our linebackers played like meh. The upgraded performance here was palpable in the first 5 weeks. Yesterday they couldn't make plays against a mediocre offense.

4. Defense overall. Gave up 4 touchdowns to a bottom tier offense. Could not make stops in the red zone. Gave up long plays all over the field (trend that was also there first 5 weeks).

Yes, it's just one game. Yes, sometimes you don't win the TO battle. But man, my spidey sense is not liking these characteristics because I've seen this script before too many times.

Belicheat game plans better than any coach in the NFL. That being said, our defense is still putrid. We are winning off turnover differential and that is not something you want to depend on. Hopefully, getting some guys off IR will help.

Think about a very ordinary running back for NE didn’t seem to be bothered by a Cowboy until he was about 5 yards into the interior . What would an Aaron Jones in a playoff game do GB vs Dallas ?

The D held the Pats to 14 points through 3 quarters and the O left 14 points on the field with one bad pass and one bad call by the officials.

Have to clean up a couple things but that game wasn't as close as the final suggests.

We have a history...2014...2016.....

We were going to KILL IT!

So we have to work a little bit...to put our skeptical hurt behind us. Do not be afraid. Cheer them on....get some mojo and bravado going!

If we fall on our face then we all fall together. Until then...jump on the wagon and ride on.,

At 5-1 you have a 3 game lead on the worst division in football and I know piling up wins like firewood is a good thing for home implications in a playoff game but with bye week coming if Dak had to miss one game that’s 3 weeks to heal . Fingers crossed.

You're not getting blowout wins in the NFL every week, no matter how good you are. Did you see the Bucs game at New England?

Yesterday's game was the kind Dallas has been losing this century. That they still managed to win says something.

This game shouldn't even have been that close. 3 plays of over 20 yards were called back cause of phantom penalties. Touchdowns were erased or not called either. It was wierd game for sure, but a lot of horrible calls were made by the officials and Carty at times.

This is the NFL and games like these happen. It will not be the last time.
Rather if it is the coach or a player or the refs, or a combination. It happens.

We are 5-1, and overall looking pretty good. So enjoy. Then we get back at it in 2 weeks.

# 3 seems to be a sensitive subject unless it is about Jaylon Smith.

I disagree. Yes, there are issues the team can fix but you can go up and down the league and it’s top teams and none of them are perfect at all. That place is a hard place to play, great coach, very good defense. Not a layup at all. The bucs struggled and very rarely will you see that team just get blown out this year.

we had 100+ penalty yards, 2 red zone turnovers, horrible 3rd down numbers yet still won the game- a game we 100% lose the last 10 years. Started slow and still overcame. Again, they need to clean stuff up and even some things you mentioned but to lower the potential of this team off that game is just wrong imo.

When Brown went to the receivers face mask in OT was that a “ gutless no call “ That’s what the NE barf bag fans are sour grasping. The refs are what they are like Zeke said after the game you have to beat them and the Patsies
